Spice Adams Does It Again

Posted by Taylor Price on August 1, 2013 – 10:03 AM

Former 49ers defensive lineman Anthony “Spice” Adams announced his retirement earlier this offseason. Making it even more unique was the fact that the former “Adams Report” host on 49ers.com did it in front of a packed house at a White Castle.

Lucky for us, Adams hasn’t retired from making hilarious YouTube videos.

Enjoy his latest offering, a barbecue tribute that brings new meaning to his nickname, “Spice.”

hopefully this would be the last time we would hear a major injuries before the start of the season, yup,we lost cully 4 the season.thank god nnamdi is around, this give him more time to learn more about the position, he got burned a lot during the S.B. by “Q” again thank god his on other side now…..

glad to see us sign some wr’s , if for no other reason to have someone else get hit during preseason, anybody think these guys (collie, and hawkins)make this team and contribute during season ?

  7. By rjdniner on Aug 4, 2013 | Reply

Collie was a good target for Manning until all those concussion started happening I think it’s a low risk move for the team and according to news release the doctors have cleared him to play and we all know that Jim and Trent made sure that if anything does happen it won’t hurt the team and I hope and pray he is able to stay healthy. And yes I think he makes the team …. And think about it he wants to prove he can still play ball ..

  8. By ace on Aug 5, 2013 | Reply

i feel the same way collie has more of a shot to make the team i think based on exp…..we get to see some football thursday nite game wooooooooohoooooo , yes i actually watch preseason games, i love the backups fighting for spots and the limited playcalling, let them go out and play, run down the field and throw it to me type stuff

  9. By bow53 on Aug 6, 2013 | Reply

were just like on underground here on this site now, but any how, i like the move about collie, i use to watch him on highlights when peyton and him were connecting during there stans w/ the colts, i only hope that he will be explosive as he use to be, after the surgery, and one thing i still have some high hope that the niners still gonna land eric wright in the line up for a bargain price……

  10. By ace on Aug 6, 2013 | Reply

yea wright ? no ur rite, i would like to see him come in too,, but coaches here now dont really put guys in that much when they havent been in the system for a while, if they brought in wright, would he be more than camp fodder ?

  11. By ace on Aug 6, 2013 | Reply

brock would beat out wright for time, i bet but if wright pas@es a physical he could be a niner

  12. By bow53 on Aug 7, 2013 | Reply

i agree, he has to get the hang of it on the system before he gets on board, in any even if the franchise decide to put him on board , he’ll be out couple of games cuz’ of his outside antics (dui) at least he can learn the roofs by then…

  13. By bow53 on Aug 7, 2013 | Reply

ropes rather, until he gets by his problems…but his a good darn corner,we need more good CB,that position is were we got burned during the SB in my opinion…..

  14. By ace on Aug 8, 2013 | Reply

    wrights back

  15. By bow53 on Aug 8, 2013 | Reply

we landed eric wright w/ out giving up any draft picks of the future, brilliant move baalke, way to go…….

what’s with this site? it’s preseason and they r lost….on vacation? no new post what’s with that? anyway jenkins isn’t going to win a postion by fumbling….they need another w/r…bolden is all set but i’m worried about the rest…who will step up…like to see patton get reps with first team….

  18. By bow53 on Aug 9, 2013 | Reply

yup, seems like we’re underground now on this site, but at least we have something in here, don’t like whats happening on MT a lot phony faces on that facebook , but any how the KAEP is very impressive 4 a few snaps, and i got reason to believe that collie has a spot in the roster, keeping kingcrab’s seat warm while his away…..

  19. By mfkram64 on Aug 9, 2013 | Reply

ya bow53 got that wright lol! get him for nothing…now if he can clean up his act they will have another strong cb….love what they r doing with defense,,,,niamndi was a great pickup now wright and drafting reid was great…..like i posted before worry about w/r’s with crabs hurt and manningham and williams coming off injuries they r shallow at w/r…jenkins one catch and it was a fumble two drops not good…moore not a guy who is a threat…leaves patton who is hurt so they gotta look into getting a guy i think….a deep threat for kap to throw to….don’t get me wrong if williams can come back for first game and patton can do what i think he can they will be fine but IF is a big word..

  20. By mfkram64 on Aug 9, 2013 | Reply

i know i left some guys out at w/r…lockette and osgood will be special team guys maybe seeing some snaps at w/r..hall and collie r ok but not your second rec.’s jacobs is a rookie…so to me they gotta hope williams and maningham get better for opening da…cuz boldin and jenkins r your statrting wr’s right now and moore/lockett…not to impressive…to me……hope they prove me wrong

  21. By mfkram64 on Aug 9, 2013 | Reply

everyone is talking about the seahags as the team to beat in the west along with the niners but the rams r going to be solid this year and watch for the cardinals with arieans there and carson palmer they will be better this year too…remember they started 4-0 last year before all the injuries….going to be a tough division…best in football

  22. By bow53 on Aug 9, 2013 | Reply

i hope i’m wrong that A J is a bust, that fumble is not gonna help him,its his second year, he should be better by then, well,i guess its early to judge, few more preseason games, then will find out.reid is gonna be a starter on safety position in my opinion, the guy can hit, i’m just hoping that nnamdi and collie can make it to the roster…i feel they still have gas in there tanks and most of all get p. willis in the the line up by 1st week against the pack…and ur right @mfkram64 our division is tough to play with, card’s and rams r emerging, not to worry about the seahags , they gonna fall flat in there faces this year…..

Well… again… just preseason… but Smith’s team got 7 in their only drive. Succop hit the field only for the extra point. Jamaal Charles carried it in for the TD from the 1, about four yards closer than the closest Kaepernick got to the endzone on his final drive of the Super Bowl. Tom Brady is the only other NFL quarterback out of 26 so far who led his team to a touchdown on the first drive of the first pre-season game of 2013.

Did the 49ers actually keep the better quarterback? Smith leaves for a team that’s actually committed to him, and he gets even better. Kaepernick stays, but he does less.

“But it’s just pre-season!” you’ll say. That’s fine; you’d be right. You’d better hope that changes by the time the games count for something. Based on Tolzein’s play yesterday and Colt McCoy’s injury history overall, I don’t anticipate Jim Harbaugh boasting about having “two quarterbacks” this year. Let’s hope there’s still one by the time we get to the post-season.

u will eat ur words, when u see KAEP will lead our belove 49ers to another good year, i got nothing against alex, but KC is gonna be lucky if they make it to the playoffs next year, just set in ur couch and enjoy the ride w/ CK7….

  25. By phatalerror on Aug 12, 2013 | Reply

“KC is gonna be lucky if they make it to the playoffs next year”

And if you have “nothing against Alex”, your basis for saying that is what?

  26. By mfkram64 on Aug 13, 2013 | Reply

    hello

  27. By mfkram64 on Aug 13, 2013 | Reply

blahbl;ahblah we don’t care about alex smith anymore….move on…good for alex he scored in preseason…

  28. By phatalerror on Aug 13, 2013 | Reply

Did Alex Smith lead a touchdown drive because it was only pre-season? Then if it was only pre-season, perhaps it diminishes the two touchdown drives Brady had. And yet, it was only pre-season: Why did Kaepernick’s offense only come up with 3 points?

The bravado is gone. There’s no more “Kaepernick is better than Smith.” There’s just, “We don’t care about Alex Smith anymore.”

The 49ers and Chiefs play a pre-season game this Friday night. If the 49ers get pressure on Smith and his offense gets shut out before the rookies hit the field, you’ll be all over it. On the other hand, if the Chiefs shut down Kaepernick up until he gets subbed out for McCoy, you’ll say, “It’s only a pre-season game.”

    Keep telling yourself that.

  29. By mfkram64 on Aug 13, 2013 | Reply

why is it a big deal? if smith only got 3 points u think we would be all over it? no cuz we don’t care what the chiefs and alex smith r doing…only u do…so be it kaepernick drove them down and got 3 points..i know i’m happy he went 4-4 and didn’t get hurt….as far as smith i really don’t care…good for him and the chiefs…and for your info kaepernick didn’t have gore were as smith had charles just sayin….don’t read into preseason to much….kaepernick is a forty niner and is better than smith…smith is a chief and we well i don’t care what he does…u keep telling yourself smith is better….after 8 years we will compare….

  30. By bow53 on Aug 13, 2013 | Reply

and if you have”nothing against alex “your basis for saying that is what ?
my basis on that is , alex is putting his pedal in the ground and its only the preseason, and his supporting cast needs to blend on reids and alex system before they can be an elite team in the NFL, it will take a year or so before they have those chemistry lock in , and that if ? alex can fit in there system, again its his 7th coordinating gig, tthink about that, bottom line is alex is good but the kaep is even better… dig that…..

o well who cares about the chiefs? only blahblahblah does…now he/she is comparing alex to brady PLEASE!!! CUZ THEY SCORED ON THEIR FIRST DRIVES IN PRESEASON!!!! what a joke

  35. By bow53 on Aug 13, 2013 | Reply

besides preseason in my understanding is to evaluate player under contract or rookies and players who’s working hard to get in the roster, to me its not a big deal if they win or lose or make touch down even…my opinion preseason games should be minimal at least two games to avoid injuries but then again, coaches and staff need to see clearly who’s gonna cut it to the line up…its nice to see the first couple snap fr.the SF and KC games sounds to me it seems its personal in both ends.. from then on i really don’t pay attention, its up to the coaching staff who’s in or who’s out..can’t wait for the real games to happen.. then we can compare…

  36. By mfkram64 on Aug 13, 2013 | Reply

your right bow53….happy starters don’t get hurt….just get thru preseason…

  37. By phatalerror on Aug 13, 2013 | Reply

Keep minimizing the pre-season results. It’s the last time your being wrong won’t matter.

  38. By bow53 on Aug 14, 2013 | Reply

ur the one thats making a big deal out it it (preseason) u treat it like its the superbowl and its not even accountable w/ ur wise azz stats, why don’t u shut ur pie hole and watch the real game unfold before ur sorry azz, then comment.. and see who’s wrong in reality, one more thing WAKE THE HELL UP , ALEX IS HISTORY………………

  39. By mfkram64 on Aug 14, 2013 | Reply

lets move on from this stupid alex smith stuff….he is not a niner anymore so there is no need to talk or debate it he is done….so i want to know how people feel about the wr’s? after crabs going down it leaves boldin….williams and jenkins fighting for number 2 spot….i like williams but not a number 2 guy to me…manningham is going to take a long time to get back….leaves who? collie? patton? losing crabs is going to hurt he was kap’s man target…they were hooking up big time last year and figured with a full off season and preseason together they would be awesome…sucks he got injuried…i hear putting davis as a wideout…that means mcdonald will have to produce at t/e….just seeing peoples thoughts on this topic…

  40. By mfkram64 on Aug 14, 2013 | Reply

i know i left some guys out but i don’t see hall, jacobs or osgood doing much even if they make roster…hawkins, lockette and moore again don’t see them as number 2 guys maybe 3…as far as jenkins he is a bust to me…he might not even make team…that leaves collie and williams..both coming off injuries last year…this is a major concern to me….no deep threat..

  41. By bow53 on Aug 14, 2013 | Reply

i got a funny feeling they gonna cut jenkins , if? his not gonna show up 4 the next preseason game or maybe the 3rd,i’m counting on collie to step up and hopefully be in the roster, cuz’i know ur right, losing kingcrab hurts alot big time…but then again william i heard his having a good camp, picking up what he left last couple of years, i’m also hoping MM is gonna be ready during regular season, i;m just pls. and thank the football gods that v. davis and boldin is in the line up.. we still have some explosiveness in the wideouts…..

  42. By phatalerror on Aug 14, 2013 | Reply

“losing crabs is going to hurt he was kap’s man target…they were hooking up big time last year and figured with a full off season and preseason together they would be awesome…sucks he got injuried”

But of course, “great” quarterbacks have no problem overcoming the loss of a receiver by building new chemistry with another, right? Don’t worry. Kaepernick will overtarget Anquan Boldin just as he did Michael Crabtree.

  43. By bow53 on Aug 15, 2013 | Reply

at least kaep throws it deep not unlike the former checkdown qb., will be seeing a lot of those checkdowns on friday, i think he’ll fit reids system a little ,let his receivers do the rest, and ohh he’ll be in target no worries less than 5 yard throws , no problems….

  44. By mfkram64 on Aug 15, 2013 | Reply

brady to welker waqs over targeting? 100+ every year….overtarget never heared it before…..cuz a qb hooks up with a guy alot it’s over target….u r a joke….

  45. By mfkram64 on Aug 15, 2013 | Reply

you said it bow53….he can’t throw down feild….dump off man
