A traffic and parking advisory release for the “Legends of Summer” concert on July 26th at Candlestick has been provided by the stadium operations department of the San Francisco 49ers.
Attention ALL Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z fans attending the show on July 26th: Plan your trip to Candlestick Park in advance.
This highly-anticipated event is completely sold-out. Candlestick Park has parking available on-site but there are also large events at AT&T Park (Cubs/Giants-7:15 pm game), Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View (John Mayer-7:30 show), and in Oakland, (A’s /Angels-7:05 game) all of which will be using Highway 101 and other Bay Area highways with large attendances expected, therefore, ARRIVING EARLY, car-pooling and using public transportation are CRITICAL to you not missing any of this incredible show. Heavy Highway 101 traffic and congested streets are anticipated around Candlestick Park and the stretch between San Jose and San Francisco on Highway 101 for this event could cause long delays. We encourage you to arrive at Candlestick Park prior to 4:00 pm to help avoid possible delays due to traffic. Candlestick Park and the adjacent parking lots will provide sufficient parking but we strongly urge you to carpool and arrive early. To meet this extraordinary demand, and for your convenience, there are adjacent off-site parking options as well as shuttle rides to and from the stadium from public transportation options. Gates to the plazas of Candlestick Park will open at 4:30 PM and some of your favorite local radio stations will provide entertainment, while food and beverage options will be available for purchase. Seating in the stadium will be available, starting at 5:30 PM.
If you are coming from San Francisco, the Peninsula, South Bay or East Bay, STAY OFF HIGHWAY 101 for as long as you can, using Highways 280, Highway 92, and Highway 380.

Fans from the South Bay, Peninsula, and East Bay/Sacramento, Use Highway 280 and/or 92 and Park at the San Mateo Event Center. Round Trip shuttle service will be available aboard luxury motor coaches to Candlestick Park and returning to San Mateo after the show. There will be a charge of $10.00 per vehicle for the parking space, which will be collected at the Event Center and a charge of $25.00 per person for the shuttle service, which must be purchased through TM from the link below. The Event Center lot will open at 3:30 PM and the first shuttle will leave at 4:00 PM. The last shuttle to Candlestick Park will leave the Event Center at approximately 6:00 PM. Take Caltrain to the Bayshore Station. It is an approximately 30 minute walk or 10 minute bike ride from the Bayshore Station to Candlestick Park and bike parking will be provided. Fans should visit Caltrain.com for more information regarding the train schedules. After the show, the last Northbound train from Bayshore Station leaves at 11:47 PM and the last Southbound train from Bayshore Station leaves at 12:11 AM so please ensure that you leave yourself enough time to get back to the station before the last train leaves. The show is scheduled to end at 11:00 PM.
Muni will operate additional T-Line trains along 3rd Street with shuttle buses connecting the T-Line to Candlestick. Muni will also provide additional shuttle buses connecting the Balboa Park stop on BART to Candlestick Park.

While BART does not directly connect with Candlestick Park, BART
can carry a large number of concert goers to the Embarcadero BART station.
There, passengers can transfer to the T-Third Street MUNI light rail line where
they can travel along 3rd Street to the Gilman / Paul MUNI Station. Shuttles will be provided from the station to Candlestick Park.

Preferred Parking – Main Lot of Candlestick Park – ARRIVE BEFORE 4:30 PM in the main lot and receive a discounted price of $25.00. At 4:31 PM, prices will go up to $40.00 per car in the Main Lot. PLEASE HAVE CORRECT CHANGE READY upon entry to allow for the monetary transaction to take place as quickly as possible.
General Parking – Parking will be available in the lots adjacent to Candletsick Park for approximately $30.00. Please have correct change to allow for the quickest possible flow into the lots. These lots will also open at 3:30 PM.
Oversized vehicles (anything over a 15 passenger van) and or limousines will not be permitted in the Main Lot. These vehicles will need to park in the RV Lot at a cost of $60.00 per vehicle. Take 3rd Street to Gilman, turn right and the lot is located at the corner of Bill Walsh Way (Giants Dr.) and Gilman.
Bus Parking is available for $80 (tailgating) and $40 (non-tailgating). Take 3rd Street to Ingerson, turn on to Ingerson and proceed straight to the Bus Lot.
Dropping off and picking up passengers is highly discouraged. However, a designated pre-event drop off lane is located at the front of the bus lot. Take 3rd Street to Ingerson, turn right, then veer right at Bill Walsh Way, and the drop off gate is on your left.
A designated post-event pick up lot is located in Lot C. Take 3rd Street to Ingerson, turn right and then veer left at Bill Walsh Way. The lot will be on your right, and only temporary staging will be permitted, so be sure that passengers are ready to be picked up.
