MT: Crabtree Shares Rehab Update

Posted by Taylor Price on July 2, 2013 – 11:27 AM

Michael Crabtree hasn’t gone silent after suffering an Achilles injury in offseason workouts. The leading wideout for the San Francisco 49ers has used his Twitter account to share updates on his outlook for the 2013 season. He’s also made several comments on the NBA Finals. Crabtree’s champion pick, the San Antonio Spurs, lost to the Heat. But Crabtree hasn’t been quiet on Twitter since the NBA season wrapped up.

The 49ers wideout informed his 132,000-plus followers that he’s returning to the gym.

“I’m ready,” Crabtree wrote.

Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee examined the post from the 49ers wideout and explained the rehab process from the perspective of Dr. Eric Giza, chief of the foot and ankle service at UC Davis.

More 49ers headlines can be found in today’s Morning Tailgate.

Dont get greedy and want to come back too fat to pad stats.. your contract is nearing an end, so we need you to re-sign and be healthy for the next SuperBowl run.

see people alex was a waste of time a college nobody took his job and why because he wants to win and not throw dump offs on 3rd and short …he wants to make the big play and work hard to do it not sit back and cry and moan and then sabotage our SB run why do you think he was traded instead of let go the coach saw it as well ….alex demanding a trade 5 days before the superbowl ….he wasted a lot of good players time hope we can make some of those years back with 4 -5 more trophies ….win or lose the keeper has put the niners on the map and got people excited alex bored us bad some thought he was actually helping the niners …..instead of being a bust …….good luck KC he will start and by mid season the media will be all over em asking if they think the trade was good for KC or the niners

ELEVEN-KAP was NOT a college “nobody”. Maybe only to the uninformed. There is a whole laundry list of QB “somebodys” who were serious busts in the NFL. Now on the Alex front, just as much as pro-Alex people need to move on so does anti-Alex people. Alex was not as bad as the haters will keep going on about and Alex was not as great as the Alex lovers will keep going on about BUT regardless of whether you “liked” Alex or not, I never personally questioned his desire to win and work-ethic. Move on people.

Fact: Smith was better than Kaepernick at converting third downs by throwing.
Fact: Smith was better than Kaepernick at converting all downs (except 4th, where Smith had only one attempt) by throwing.
Fact: With Smith at quarterback, the team had a better third down conversion rate than with Kaepernick at quarterback.

Eleven, you’re as entitled as anyone else to your own opinion. However, your opinion continues to be based on a falsehood: Kaepernick’s team hasn’t actually outperformed Smith’s team on third downs. And that was before Kaepernick’s favorite (only?) target went down with an Achilles tear.

Here’s to wondering if 2013 will end with a name change for you: JustonemoreyearwithAlexplease.

“looking forward 4 ur beckering, guys… lets get it on…”

No one else has held their own against me on the Smith vs. Kaepernick subject (without introducing hypotheticals and future promise), and you expect Eleven to actually try? You have a higher opinion of Eleven than is warranted.

Fatal Error says “No one else has held their own against me on the Smith vs. Kaepernick subject (without introducing hypotheticals and future promise), and you expect Eleven to actually try?”

The comedy continues…at least Eleven knows there is no point as his blog above indicates. Fatal Error…thanks for helping us laugh at you! Your obsessiveness, hypocrisy, biasness and denial is beyond pathetic. You honestly think we don’t remember what’s been said on these blogs?????

talk about tooting your own horn. and of those times I posted real numbers to debunk the trash that blahblahblah would post,he NEVER addressed the issues,he glossed right over them like any full of themself type person would.

“talk about tooting your own horn. and of those times I posted real numbers to debunk the trash that blahblahblah would post,he NEVER addressed the issues,he glossed right over them like any full of themself type person would”

    This is not true.

There are statistics that cause Kaepernick to look better than Smith, but you have to cherry pick them to such an extent so as to render the statistic meaningless. That wasn’t me ‘glossing over’ anything. That was me telling you to your face that your statistics were trash.

I reaffirm my original statement: No one ever disproved what I stated. The stated goal for the Kaeperswitch was Super Bowl or Bust. Guess what? BUST! It’s history. Get over it. If you got on the Kaepernick bus then, you were wrong. And if you’re on the Kaepernick bus now because it’s all we’ve got, well, it’s all we’ve got. That hardly proves you right about anything except that you have knowledge of the 49ers current roster.

And of course, Eleven’s response to me was: “….” Impressive. At least he knows when not to bang his head on the wall.
