MT: Bowman Hosts Football Camp

Posted by Taylor Price on July 1, 2013 – 9:34 AM

All-Pro linebacker NaVorro Bowman hosted his first annual football camp last week. He also did it with a little help from his friends.

San Francisco 49ers teammates Patrick Willis, Vernon Davis and Anthony Dixon all joined Bowman to teach football fundamentals to children in Bowman’s hometown of District Heights, Md.

Bowman shared photos and videos from the event on his social media accounts.

Today’s Morning Tailgate features some of the top 49ers-related headlines to close out the month of June.

Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee shared the comments of undrafted defensive tackle Lawrence Okoye who described his introduction to professional football.

Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com covered the strides made by rookie tight end Vance McDonald.

CSNBayArea.com shared the comments of rookie running back Marcus Lattimore at the NFL Rookie Symposium.

Dan Hanzus of NFL.com looked at Colin Kaepernick’s chances of being San Francisco’s MVP.

Get well soon.

the offseason is soooo important, evry little thing we do now shapes our team for the coming year, the roster moves, who makes doesnt make the team, the playbook, how do we adjust this years plays on both sides of the ball, to utilize what we have to the fullest,…..its both exciting and torturous cuz we dont get to see any of it till they run out on the field, but the preseason should be awesome( yes i said that) cuz this is a tuff roster to make, guys gotta earn a spot on this team, if u wanna play in the sb, you gotta prove it in practice, thats what coach demands
