MT: Minicamp Day 2 Recap

Posted by Taylor Price on June 13, 2013 – 11:29 AM

The second day of minicamp featured B.J. Daniels making a variety of plays. The seventh-round pick caught two touchdowns as a running back and tossed another as a quarterback on a rollout scramble to wideout Ricardo Lockette.

The 49ers will hold one more day of mandatory minicamp on Thursday. Jim Harbaugh will speak to the media at the conclusion of the workout.

More minicamp headlines can be found in today’s Morning Tailgate.

Cam Inman of the San Jose Mercury News relayed Justin Smith’s comments on entering a contract year.

Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee discussed Craig Dahl’s eye-catching comments.

Barrows also provided minicamp notes.

Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com noted it was a strong day for Daniels.

Maiocco also commented on Lawrence Okoye’s development.

my goodness, what a plethora of talent . . . very, very exciting to see how it plays out on “game day”; and most encouraging is the “team first”, humble spirit of all the players, veterans and rookies, good sign players, coaches and leadership from top to bottom ! Niners by the Bay . . . San Francisco going for the gold !
