San Francisco 49ers rookie tight end Vance McDonald proposed to his long-time girlfriend last month on the Golden Gate Bridge.
The second-round pick shared his engagement story with Cam Inman of the San Jose Mercury News.
“I was like, ‘What better spot than the bridge?’” the former Rice tight end said after an OTA session this week.
McDonald, a native of southeast Texas, has already become quite fond of his Bay Area surroundings during his short time with the 49ers. His proposal proves he’s a big fan of the region where he was drafted.
“When I hear someone complain about the weather here,” McDonald began, “I just turn my head and walk away.”
