MT: Patton Rejoins 49ers for OTAs

Posted by Taylor Price on May 21, 2013 – 11:08 AM

The rookie class will join veterans at Organized Team Activities on Tuesday. The NFL newcomers have been working with their new teammates at San Francisco’s “Football School” workouts, but now they can all practice together with helmets at OTAs.

The rookies will also have fourth-round draft pick Quinton Patton in attendance. The Louisiana Tech wide receiver was the only draft pick who couldn’t remain at the team’s facility following rookie minicamp. Patton had to wait until the conclusion of Louisiana Tech’s graduations ceremonies on Saturday.

Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle spoke with Patton who’s set to join veterans at OTAs.

Patton’s initial arrival to San Francisco was pretty epic. He shouldn’t have any problem sticking around the facility now that graduation is over.

Mark Purdy of the San Jose Mercury News previewed the upcoming Super Bowl location announcements.

Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com caught up with 49ers co-chair Dr. John York in Boston.

49ers.com spoke with former tight end Brent Jones who is joining the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame.

Can you imagine actually getting to play the Super Bowl in our home stadium? The fact that this occurs when we actually have a team that could make it happen is exciting as heck. Red and gold forever,

watch this video of” the rise collin kaep” and tell me what you think he cant do in his first 10 starts he made all the throws if you say he cant make reads he does in handing the ball off instead of keeping it,( the falcons game) and running it instead vs the pack and blew them up i would say nice reads there he can read a defense,ok hes still learing, which is the best part hes gonna get better just like alex got better but look at the lvl he started from and going to grow from… wow

Crab will be back for the last 4 games leading to the playoffs. In the mean time I suspect we will see a lot of Boldin and our rookie wide outs trying to make a name for themselves along with quite a bit of the two tight end offense with McDonald and Vernon Davis. We are going to be fine. It’s going to be great.
