MT: Schedule Coming on Thursday

Posted by Taylor Price on April 16, 2013 – 9:22 AM

The NFL has relieved many die-hard football fans with the announcement of the 2013 NFL schedule’s announcement date.

Yes, an announcement of an announcement is getting everyone riled up. This is professional football at its finest. People care so much about their teams in April. They also want to start making travel arrangements.

We know who and where the 49ers will play in 2013, we just don’t know when. Actually, we know the 49ers will visit the Jacksonville Jaguars on Oct. 27 in London, England as part of the league’s International Series.

The 49ers will host division foes, Arizona, Seattle and St. Louis. San Francisco will also welcome Atlanta, Carolina, Houston, Indianapolis and Green Bay in the final season of Candlestick Park.

On the road, the 49ers will travel to Arizona, Seattle, St. Louis, New Orleans, Tampa Bay, Jacksonville (London), Tennessee and Washington.

San Francisco’s 2013 schedule intrigues NFL.com writer Elliot Harrison. The NFL scribe has three 49ers games listed in his top games on the 2013 slate.

San Francisco’s second matchup with Seattle comes in at No. 3 on the list.

“While we don’t know where — or exactly when — this game will be played yet, we do know it will be physical,” Harrison wrote. “We know it will have some playoff implications.”

More 49ers headlines can be found in today’s Morning Tailgate.

Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee listed potential attendees for the 49ers local pro day workout on Wednesday.

Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com looked at the 49ers draft outlook at safety and cornerback.

Peter Schrager of FoxSports.com picked FIU safety John Cyprien as the 49ers first-round choice.

Steve Corkran of the San Jose Mercury News caught up with Raiders owner Mark Davis, who shared his thoughts on the 49ers franchise.

49ers.com covered offseason strength and conditioning work by sharing the comments of veterans Patrick Willis and Nnamdi Asomugha.

49ers.com’s “49 in 49” series moved on to the Best of the Bay Area and started with a profile of California wide receiver Keenan Allen.

niners might be able to move up to 3 for a really good defensive guy via the raiders …..and would prob get it cheap as far a picks go …..will be interesting to see if anyone takes em up

like to see them draft cyprien first than carridine second but with 2nd pick in second rd i like hopkins from clemson wr….6’1″ 214 good size and speed had 18 td’s last year…my reason is how well will manningham and williams be after injuries? that leaves bolden and crabs….jenkins was a reach last year and to me will have to win a spot this year…report out cal’s allen failed drug teat so big questions around him….they need wr depth think hopkins would be a great pick

we have been talikng draft defense and address def….but to me they need to draft a rb in the 3rd rd…taylor from stanford would be a good fit i think…lets face it at wr bolden will be here 1 maybe 2 years they have to sign crabs,, manningahm an williams r coming off injuries…gore and davis r moving up in years so to me they need to get some youth at these postions…take hopkins in 2nd rd and a rb in 3rd rd…bell or taylor

hey.mfk, have you thought of adding da’rrick rodgers? another chip on his shoulder type of guy who looks like alot like a cross between terrel owens before he got full of himself and his ego overcame his talent, and calvin johnson. big, fast, clean in and out of his breaks, great hands and a positive pot test from his school campaign and he will fall in the draft, a 1st round talent that will fall to maybe the mid 3rd,,,,THE ORIGINAL IN HARBAUGH WE TRUST
