49 in 49: Big 10 Week

For 117 years, the Big 10 has featured some of the nation’s most storied programs and rivalries. This week, we’ll take a look at the football-frenzied conference and some their best NFL prospects slated to be picked in the upcoming NFL Draft. From college football’s all-time touchdown leader to imposing linemen to intriguing athletes, the Big 10 has plenty to offer the 32 teams at the next level.

The current 49ers active roster features eight players with alma maters in the Big 10, not to mention proud Michigan man Jim Harbaugh. Who would you like the 49ers to draft from the conference this year?

Ohio State went undefeated in 2012 under their first year under respected coach Urban Meyer, but had to sit out the postseason due to NCAA sanctions from previous infractions. With no Buckeyes to worry about, Wisconsin ran roughshod over Nebraska in the Big 10 Championship, claiming a 70-31 win before falling to Stanford 20-14 in the Rose Bowl.
