49 in 49: SEC Week

Posted by Taylor Price on March 4, 2013 – 11:49 AM

It’s back.

For the next 49 days, 49ers.com will profile 49 of the most compelling prospects available in the 2013 NFL Draft.

First, the Southeastern Conference’s top talent will come into focus as seven prospects from the nation’s top conference will be discussed in both written and video features.

The ultra-competitive conference featured several nationally ranked teams (five in the top 10 of the AP’s final top 25 rankings) and produced the Heisman Trophy winner (Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel). More importantly, the SEC produced the back-to-back BCS National Champions, the Alabama Crimson Tide, who defeated the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC title game and trounced Notre Dame in the BCS title game.

San Francisco did not select a player out of the SEC out of the team’s seven selections made in the 2012 draft, but that could all change starting April 25 when the three-day draft begins.

Which SEC players would you like to see in a 49ers uniform next season? Leave your thoughts in the comment section at the bottom of this post.

All we need is a good corner. We need to adjust Carlos Rogers contract, so that we can sign some key starters from last year. Carlos and our corners got torched last season.

Cordarrelle Patterson is the most dynamic WR/KR/PR to come out this year. Niners need to move up to get this stud at whatever the cast.
