great points dave g. …ok phatal,,,WHY DOES A TEAM HAVE A FIELD GOAL KICKER????/??? TO SCORE POINTS WHEN THE OFFENSE BOGS DOWN,,,that is his job,,to make kicks,,,nothing more,,,nothing less,,,to come through when all the chips are on the table. I have said it many times already, but I will say it again just for a re-fresher,,,2011 was akers prove the eagles wrong season,,he OVER-ACHIEVED,,,this year, with not having to prove someone wrong, hence he doesnt have that same motivation, he is showing why the eagles let him go.

mfkram64: You right! What world do these guys (Phatalerror & Randy) live in that they expect a team not to need to kick field goals? How can you just not laugh at that rediculous statement! While we at it we should be blowing out every team in the league by 40 points, our RB should be running for 3000 yards, our WR’s should be making 20 TDS a game, Aldon should have hit 30 sacks this year and I should be sleeping with Katy Perry. Ok…now stop playing with Peter Pan and let us slap you!

Randy K.: Really…like every coach in the league is not trying to have it not come down to a field goal. Oh yeah…thats exactly what we aim for! Man we have some real geeks on here. I feel like knocking on your head like a door and say “is anybody home”? Dude..here is some reality for you. Look around the league…look at the Falcons and look at how many inter division games come down to a field goal or are extremely close. Its a very competitive league. Wake up man! Sometime it will come down to a kicker, especially when the competition gets tougher. And yes we don’t want it to BUT guess what? It may actually happen and wouldnt you rather be ready if it does? Thats the point?
