Posted by Scott Kegley on December 26, 2012 – 11:06 AM

Curtis Taylor

The San Francisco 49ers have signed DT Lamar Divens and S Curtis Taylor to the practice squad.

Divens (6-3, 340) originally signed with the San Diego Chargers as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2008. He was released following training camp that year and claimed off waivers by the Baltimore Ravens. He spent three years (2008-10) with the Ravens, appearing in five games. Divens was released after training camp in 2011, and was later signed to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers practice squad on December 13, 2011. He then signed with the Tennessee Titans on February 14, 2012, and was later released on August 31. Divens was signed to the Houston Texans practice squad on October 17 of this year, and was later released on October 29.

A 27-year old native of Fayetteville, TN, Divens played two seasons at Tennessee State (2006-07) after transferring from Vanderbilt (2004-05). As a senior, he appeared in 11 games (five starts) for the Tigers, tallying a career-high 43 tackles and one fumble recovery.

Taylor (6-2, 212) was originally drafted by the 49ers in the seventh round (219th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft. He appeared in 12 games with San Francisco and registered one tackle on defense and 14 special teams stops. Taylor was released following training camp in 2011. He later signed with the Oakland Raiders on January 5, 2012, only to be released following training camp.

A 27-year old native of Bogalusa, LA, Taylor played at LSU where he appeared in 50 games (22 starts) for the Tigers and recorded 112 tackles, 2.0 sacks, 11 passes defensed, five interceptions and one fumble recovery.

you freaking fools. 1994 season the last time the niners won a super bowl. Hawks went to the Super Bowl in 2006, but all that is history. I’m talking bout now, present day. Wilson is a better QB than Kap, Lynch is from Oaktown so you know he hates the niners and he’s alittle better than Gore, and the D-Fence of the hawks is just as good or better than the niners. So therefore niner-whiner fans your team might go 1 and done when the playoffs starts while my Hawks will be roadkillers vs. anybody they play!! “Go Hawks”

We have 5 Superbowls to your ZERO. HA! You know what else happened this year? The sun shined on my dogs @ss. Yeah it happens every now and then but at the end of the day it did not change sh!t cuz you still the Seattle SeaChickens with your Illustrious history! HAHAHAHAHA. Thanks for the laugh

Oh Crabber59, the SeaChickens “went” to the SB in 2006. Oh you went….I was not aware going counted. Apparently you missed the memo…no one cares about the SB loser. HAHAHAHAHA!

SeaChickens win one regular season game in their loud @ss stadium and now they think they kings. Every team gets an upset once in a while. You think we would change history, prestige, uniforms and amount of titles and team stars with you? What a joke! HAHAHAHAHA

So the Niners had a bad game. The weather conditions two weeks straight were terrible and played two weeks in a row at tough stadiums to win in. Seahawks suck on the road this year. Record 2-6. Four of those losses to teams that weren’t over .500. Niners will prevail this week against the Cards. and lock up the division. Even if the Seahawks win against the Rams this week, they will lose their first game on the road in the playoffs.

Ship my fool, “how old/young are you?? Let me take a guess 11yrs. old!! Your pretty childish with your comments.
To all you niner fans saying “we have 5 super bowl wins yes i understand that but the last win was in 1994 so thats almost 20yrs ago. This is now present day and the fact is during those close to 20 yrs the niners have been mostly bad.

The Hawks won a game against a beat up 49er club and lets face it, the Hawks are no where near as good away from home and that is the path they are going to have to take to get to the big game. The Hawks are good, but I am betting they will lose to Washington in the first round.
