All of you must understand that against strong teams, like Giants, Atlanta, Green Bay, it's hard to win with Alex Smith. We can't give all responsability to the defensive or the runners when this failled, we need a goog QB that response in this cases. Don´t forget the past champioship game.

I was very shocked to learn that Coach Harbaugh decided to go with Kaepernick. Yes Kap has been playing very good football and presents a much more versatile threat to defenses across the league BUT at the same time Alex Smith did NOTHING wrong to rightfully lose his job. Alex was playing the best football of his career, he played a nearly perfect game against the Cardinals before suffering a concussion. Just becuase his back up happened to play very still shouldn't keep Smith out. Did packers keep Matt Flynn over Rodgers though Flynn had a monster performance, better than Rodgers has ever done in a game? NO. I've been a Niner faithful my whole life and ovbiously have sat threw the bitter years and seen Smith prosper from the his loewst point and fought through his struggles to bring the back. Yes Kap has much much potential, but save him for next year and let Alex finish what he started, he's hungry for it!!!!!!! Don't ruin the Niners Karma for our Superbowl!

rstar21 couldn't of said it better. It's sad to see Alex bashers throw him under the bus. Shame on you people!! What goes around comes around in life!!
All I have to say is that Kaepernick better perform, perform, perform or people will be calling for Harbaugh's head. Sometimes in life we make decisions before really thinking it through and sometimes we get burned for it. The decision is one thing but the cowardly way they did it is another. And yes, if Kaepernick does start to fail, don't expect Alex to play with the same confidence. Dear Harbaugh, for your sake Kaepernick better take us all the way to the Superbowl.......that's the predicament you put yourself in, for your integrity is now on the line.

u Alex bashers are idiots!! And you apparently either have never played football or dont understand the game at all. in kaps 2 starts 3-tds 1int... Alex had 1 int heading into the Giants game week 6... to be specific 8-1 ratio... so because he struggles against the Giants all of a sudden he shouldnt be starting... if thats the case Drew Brees jus threw 5 ints against the sorry a$$ Falcons D... should he not be the starter... oh and for Brees in his last 2 games... 7 INTS!! its called the overall body of work. Alex might have been a game manager... but Colin has shown that he turns the ball over at an alarming rate... he'll either fumble or throw a pick... however in 2 seasons Alex has a total of 10 INTS and 5 fumbles lost... if that... thats 15 total turnovers over a 25 game span... including the playoffs 27... dats almost .5 turnovers per game over 2 years... meaning he doesnt LOSE the game... If it wasnt for Ahmad Brooks pick 6 Kaep would have cost the team points because he panicked and didnt make the right read... dats why Alex is better... he would have looked and checked it down to Crabtree who was WIDE OPEN dat Colin missed... like in the Rams game when Williams streaked WIDE OPEN and Colin missed him... Colin will force throws and cause the team turnovers... leaving our D tired... If thats a winning formula to you people like I said you dont know the game of football
