I’m not a bottom line guy so much but consider this: YA GOTTA SCORE TOUCHDOWNS. KAP does, ALEX, not so much.
Biggest part of that win was playing from a lead- the D could afford to let it rip and not have to play so tight. They had a reasonable chance of scoring more points if a sack rush backfired.
This team is freakin AWESOME now, the rest of the league should be very afraid…

The special teams played very well. The Bears challenged Kaepernick to throw against soft coverages, and they got burned.

It was a great game for Kaepernick. Can he do it against the blitz? Can he play well when down a score or two? Can he play well when his defense isn’t playing at its best? Do you trust Kaepernick to win against the Saints in New Orleans next week?

Whatever might have impressed you about Kaepernick’s performance this week, if you are a 49er fan, you want Alex Smith’s experience next week.

I understand when you have a great defense, take the sack, punt the ball and let the defense get it back, no big deal. But if any defender gets within 3 yards of Alex he falls on the ground in the fetal position, even in ‘pinch’ situations. I like Alex, don’t get me wrong, and if you want a quarterback to be safe with the ball, that’s him, but…. you gotta make plays too. Go Cap…. Get better Alex… GO NINERS!!!

As much as we think we can predict what’s going to happen tonight with Kap in & Alex out vs the Bears, remember this. 49ers CRUSHED the Jets. Then the Rams TIE the 49ers,(they really out played us and should have won). Then the Jets SMOKE the Rams a week later. It’s NFL football who knows???
All we DO know is that we don’t want another snooze fest like last night’s Pit/Balt tilt. Run all night CK and when you can’t, dump it off to Frank and Vernon and let them do the rest. Also… will the equipment manager please hide David Akers’ sleeping mask. Thanks
