49ers Waive/Injured Nate Byham
Posted by on August 16, 2012 – 3:09 PMThe San Francisco 49ers announced they have waived/injured TE Nate Byham.
Byham (6-4, 264) was originally selected by San Francisco in the sixth round (182nd overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft. He has played in 14 games (three starts) and registered five receptions for 27 yards as a rookie. Byham missed the entire 2011 season with an injury suffered during training camp.

Well, saw the writing on the wall when they signed two TE earlier and the guy just can’t get healthy. Hope he gets well and lands somewhere.

He is a talent but cant afford to keep him on the roster if he just gonna sit out injured all the time. Best of luck to him. Hope he lands somewhere soon or his career is over. Already been 2 yrs.

Regret this move. Byham is a very good TE and will wind up benefiting some other team somewhere. We could have used him with a little more patience.
