Watch 49ers Games Online

Posted by Taylor Price on July 25, 2012 – 9:42 AM

The good folks at NFL.com are bringing football fans all the access they can handle for the 2012 season thanks to a number of online viewing services that can be enjoyed by fans all over the world.

And because the San Francisco 49ers have one of the biggest global followings in the league, the news is huge, we’re talking Mike Iupati huge.

For the first time ever, coaches’ film of every play from every game will be available through NFL.com’s Game Rewind and Game Pass services.

The Game Rewind subscription allows Faithful fans from Fresno to France and everywhere in between to have the opportunity to watch every NFL game online, on-demand, in HD, and commercial free.

The service also offers a condensed mode which shows every play, penalty, coaching challenge and plays under review in 30 minutes or less. The package, which includes different levels of service for 49ers games, also includes playoffs and Super Bowl coverage. Archived games dating back to the 2009 season are currently available; this year’s games will be archived once they’re played.

Subscribers to Game Rewind will also be allowed to view “Coaches Film,” the same tape utilizing camera angles viewed by Jim Harbaugh and the 49ers coaching staff. It’s also the same footage used by NFL scouts and position coaches. The feature includes an “All-22” camera angle positioned high above the playing field where it shows all 22 players on the field at the same time. Game Rewind also features “High End Zone” views that show what plays look like as game action takes place going toward or away from the end-zone.

Fans outside of the United States and Mexico can subscribe to Game Pass, the international version of Game Rewind. The international service allows fans to watch NFL games live in HD with DVR controls dating back to the 2009 season.

Fans who are unable to view local 49ers preseason telecasts can subscribe to Preseason Live, which allows Faithful fans to watch live on-demand NFL preseason out-of-market games in HD.

The final service available is Audio Pass, which gives fans the opportunity to listen to home and away broadcasts for every NFL game.

NFL.com’s subscription products will be available for iPad and select Android tablets starting this season.

“every NFL game online, on-demand, in HD, and commercial free.” Does this mean live too? If so I’m on board!

The news of showing the All-22 film is perhaps the most exciting part of this announcement. Can’t wait to see exactly how Manningham is shredding the defenses this year from that perspective!

Wow the NFL found one more way to gouge consumers. LIve and Replay should all be free online streaming services the games are already paid for why charge the viewer again.

Sounds great, but I’d have to upgrade the computer at a minimum cost of $600 just to watch it. So, if interested, check out the requirements.

If people in SanFran can watch the games on tv for free, I don’t understand why I have to pay to see them on the east coast. All NFL games that are televised for free should be available online to watch for free…live. Throw in commercials, I don’t care, I just want to be able to see the games!

Article talks about “online viewing services,” but at the end of the article talks about “products will be available fo iPads and select Android tablets.” My question is: Is there service available on one’s computer, not just an iPad or Android?
