It’s been a frenzied start to the 2012 free agency period.
The 49ers have already signed two players to the team who were out of football in 2011, but look to be primed for breakout returns under NFL Coach of the Year Jim Harbaugh.
A longtime NFL writer, who once covered the 49ers as a beat writer during Bill Walsh’s heyday, believes Harbaugh is best suited to get the most out of Randy Moss and Perrish Cox.
More on those opinions and the latest 49ers-related free agency headlines can be found after the jump.
Clark Judge of CBS Sports sees Harbaugh and the 49ers coaching staff able to get the most out of Moss and Cox. Judge’s reasoning: “The 49ers’ coach has an unerring belief in himself and what he’s doing, and it’s hard to argue with the results.”
The 49ers lost guard Adam Snyder in free agency to a divisional rival, when Snyder signed a five-year contract with the Arizona Cardinals. Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle previews some of the 49ers options in replacing Snyder as the team’s starting right guard.
Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee analyzed the 49ers free agency approach thus far, and believes the team’s needs at wide receiver can still be further addressed in free agency.
