49ers Launch Facebook Timeline

Posted by Scott Kegley on March 2, 2012 – 2:30 PM

As of Friday afternoon, the San Francisco 49ers became one  of the first NFL teams to launch the new Facebook timeline.

For several months, individual Facebook users have been able to customize their pages with unique cover photos, while sharing their posts in a whole new way. Now, it’s time for the 49ers to do the same.

For some fans, it may take a while to get used to the adjustment, but we hope you enjoy our new layout.

One of the things we wanted to highlight was the vast history of the five-time Super Bowl champion 49ers football team. Click on one of the decades on the right side of our timeline to see yearly team photos dating all the way back to 1946.

Where were you on September 5, 1994? That’s when Jerry Rice broke Jim Brown’s all-time NFL touchdown record… on Monday Night Football no less. The event is appropriately marked as one of our milestones.

Let us know what you think of the new layout and stay tuned for updates to come.

High tech. Everything is going high technology. Now,if only we could
fix the officating on the field by the NFL.This past season is the worat I have
ever witness in the officating on the field of play.Even the guys in the booth
have said, why have instant replay? a fumble is a fumble ,intercepsion an intercepsion etc. etc.
