Morning Tailgate: Feb. 23

Posted by Taylor Price on February 23, 2012 – 6:29 AM

INDIANAPOLIS – Good morning Indiana. And to those waking up in the Bay Area, good morning to you as well.

49ers.com is here at Lucas Oil Stadium for the 2012 NFL Scouting Combine and will stick around till Sunday, offering all the best notes and quotes from the league’s annual pre-draft convention of sorts.

For all your combine news, blogs, videos and photos, check out our Combine Central page throughout the week. And for those in need of combine visuals, check out the 49ers Instagram account throughout the week as well.

More combine headlines and 49ers headlines can be found after the jump.

There should be plenty of local flavor in this year’s combine according to Matt Barrows of The Sacramento Bee. Sacramento prep stars Devon Wylie and Miles Burris, who’ve been friends since elementary school, aim to put their best foot forward out in Indianapolis.

Eric Branch of The San Francisco Chronicle takes a look at Frank Gore’s production in 2011 and writes there’s plenty of left in the tank after a running back’s surpass the 1,500-carry mark, which Gore did last season.

TWEET ABOUT IT

Jim Harbaugh did some pre-combine work last night at the Indiana hoops game. Harbaugh’s brother-in-law is Hoosiers coach Tom Crean.

So Jeromy and Seven Years are still complaining like little b!tches. Stop complaining unless you have a better solution. Who then gives us a better chance to win the big one in 2012-2013 season????? So we don’t need more WR’s??? In your world, considering realistically (I know thats hard for you two). Who should be our QB in 2012-2013 to give us a shot to win now? Because our team is on the cusp. Logical heads know we need healthy WR’s to take us over the top, but you two seem to think th eproblem is QB, so I ask who???? You keep complaining BUT don’t have a logical solution so you really should shut up until you do.
