Purchase Special Playoff Packages

The San Francisco 49ers will host a home playoff game at Candlestick Park on either the weekend of January 7-8 or January 14-15. The game’s actual date will be determined by the team’s final record and will be known no later than January 2.

The Rams will try to play the role of spoiler on Sunday when they host the 49ers for the regular-season finale. The last time these two teams met in Week 13, the 49ers handed St. Louis a 26-0 shutout at Candlestick Park.

Akers Earns Weekly NFC Award

San Francisco 49ers kicker David Akers has been named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week after breaking the NFL single-season mark of converted field goals. With four successful tries on Saturday in Seattle, Akers now has 42 made field goals on the year, topping the previous NFL mark of 40 set by Neil Rackers in 2005.

Game Blog: 49ers at Seahawks

The 49ers are going for their 12th win of the season today against the Seahawks. It would be their first 12-win season since 2001. The 49ers will have their work cut out for them against a hot Seahawks team that’s won their last three games.
The 49ers will also be without linebacker Patrick Willis and wide receiver Ted Ginn who are both inactive.

Holcomb Enjoys Graduation Ceremony

It’s been a productive season for the 2011 San Francisco 49ers draft class, a group which includes cornerback Curtis Holcomb. The final 49ers draft pick suffered a season-ending injury prior to training camp, but didn’t let the setback derail him from accomplishing personal goals.
