#Vote49ers for 2012 Pro Bowl

Posted by Taylor Price on October 26, 2011 – 11:15 AM

Fan voting for the 2012 Pro Bowl is officially open for business.

In total, the 49ers have 27 players on this year’s ballot, led by Pro Bowl veterans Patrick Willis, Frank Gore, Vernon Davis, Justin Smith, Andy Lee, Jonathan Goodwin, David Akers and Braylon Edwards.

Fan votes count for one third of the results, while votes from coaches and players account for the other two thirds of the voting equation. Vote early and often for members of the 49ers so they can play in the NFL’s annual All-Star game which takes place Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012 at Aloha Stadium in Hawaii.

Last season, Willis and Smith represented the 49ers in the exhibition game. Only Smith was able to participate as Willis recovered from a broken hand suffered late in the regular season.

  3. By Rizwan on Oct 26, 2011 | Reply

to mitchell why do you want to have a competetion between smith and two backup QBs because Smith is playing good and getting better game after game and as long as we winning and he is not turning the ball over there should be any competetion so back off…

Alex smith is doing very well this year people so back off….. There is an old saying that seems perfect for the alex smith arguement……IF IT’S NOT BROKE ….DON’T FIX IT………The 49ers are on a roll and the last thing they need is a monkey wrench thrown there way.The bottom line is simply they are getting it done. 49ers for life……..

It’s funny to see all the Alex Smith love. I bet 75% of you praising him were hating in the preseason and now you’re on the bandwagon. I’ve been supporting Alex since day one and new once we had a good HC Alex would play well. No one will own up but either way Niners 4 Life and 49ers Forever! BTW Tolzein is the future. I say Alex starts the next 2 more seasons and Tolzein takes over after. Sorry but Kaep has not lived up to the hype.

I want to see V. Davis and D-Lay get on the squad, they would then get to potentially face off against Hernandez and Gronkowski. I fear this will never happen though…. V and D-Lay are gonna have to pull out due to being all tired from being SUPERBOWL CHAMPIONS!!!

I take Vernon Davis over the two TE form the PATS any day .
Is there any one faster then Davis at the TE postion in the NFL .
Name him ,I would like to know.

Tolzien? Lol..its nice to have him, but Kaep HAS lived up to the hype. Anybody that thought he wasn’t bench bound for 2-3 years is living a fantasy. Kaep will be the man when Alex moves on, unless Alex keeps showing up, then he can start until he’s 50, i don’t care. Alex is doing it right. Kaep is learning and Tolzien is a good #2 option for a game manager. Kaep isn’t going anywhere! He’s gonna learn for a few years and then he’ll get his shot. He’s an investment in the future and the coaches are going to protect that investment. So yeah, I predict Alex is going to continue playing well. This could be HIS pro-bowl year after all. Yardage isn’t nearly as important as efficiency and Alex is right up there. If the receiving corp could just SHOW UP TOO.. then his pro bowl ballot could really take shape.. neway, Alex for the Long Shot Pro-Bowl nod, Patrick Willis for sure.. An where is Aldon Smith?!! He DEFINITELY merits consideration at this point. .. neway, nobody watches the pro-bowl.. so who cares?

If we didnt have the best defense in the NFL we wouldnt be 5-1. Alex Smith is turning into a good game manager but most importantly he is finishing games… I never thought I woulda seen this day. With that said i still dont believe he is the answer for the future especially if we loose importsnt players on the defense. Alex Smith still isnt a playmaker in this league, but with harbogh in his ear he might be late in the season and hopefully in the playoffs.. playoffa.. what defines a players career..

i have always thought alex smith would get better, but i am a die hard 49ers fan was upset when he got benched i have confidence in the whole team and staff that they will make the playoff. way to go 49ers keep up the great work.

Frankie, Patrick and Justin should be shoe-ins right now. Aldon will be rookie of the year if he keeps playing as he has been. In two years we will have “3″ of the starting offensive lineman for the pro bowl!! You heard it here first!!

  23. By Hermie on Oct 30, 2011 | Reply

    CK is 9ers future!!

  24. By rjd niner on Oct 30, 2011 | Reply

Hermie CK is a good QB, BUT he is a speard typ shotgon qb .
IT will take time Coach H will be there every step of the way .
We all know that Alax did not have the system or the coach he has now .
All the postive and great comments we as NINERS make are OUTSTANDING.

if Alex Smith keeps playin good football i think he should be on the pro bowl list or at least the come back player of the year .
