Twitter Talk: Game On

Posted by Scott Kegley on July 25, 2011 – 6:03 PM

Monday’s announcement that the NFL and NFLPA had agreed to a new collective bargaining agreement was the moment football fans had been waiting for. It was time to announce…#GameOn.

Immediately, tweets from the 49ers Faithful came pouring in and by noon, #GameOn was trending in the Bay Area.

Likewise, the players began to share their enthusiasm about the news. Tackle Joe Staley was “so jacked” to get back to the facility, but fans were equally enthusiastic for his return to his post as the host of TV49’s “The Joe Show.”

Here are some more of our favorite #GameOn Tweets.

Has to be done just putting it out there since we are here. Free agency is here and the QB position is not looking good. I love the way the niners are going with the coaching staff and Harbaugh should be our guy for years to come…too bad he wont be our QB. So how long will Smith make it this year before Harbaugh realizes he made the same mistake as all the previous coaches made. Go Go Niners just wish we didnt have to go with Smith.

Gore needs to go to work, stop running middles an try the sides, and if we all at home can stop saying give it to Gore and they realize we know the play so the other team must figure it out too. Then give him a raise.

I think we should take a chance with Vice Young. Alex Smth does not equal a Super Bowl season. Vince or McNabb was our best chance and McNabb is already gone. Please pick up Vince. I’m begging!!!!
