Jennings Delivers on Morning Radio

Posted by Taylor Price on January 21, 2011 – 10:59 AM

What NFL long snapper can provide 25 minutes of enjoyable radio entertainment? Brian Jennings – that’s who.

The 49ers specialist with more than a decade of NFL service spent his Thursday morning with “The Murph and Mac Show” on KNBR and provided some inspired fodder worth sharing in the blog.

(And while we’re on the subject, all 49ers interviews on KNBR can be found in the media gallery section of 49ers.com under the radio shows tab).

Highlights of Jennings’ conversation included:

-Recapping a family camping trip to Malibu where he managed to purchase a raccoon hat.

-Describing a recent golf outing in Palm Springs which allowed him to hang out with rock legend Alice Cooper.

-Divulging his plan to run a half marathon in six weeks, which included a three-mile run that morning. “I’m a long distance runner!” Jennings emphatically told host Brian Murphy. Adding, “I’m going to be in full Iron Man-mode in a neighborhood half marathon to support a foundation.”

-Offering opinions on the current NFL playoffs where he likes Green Bay and Pittsburgh to play in the Big Game.

Wow, Jennings is talented in more areas than just on the field! He’ll be a top flight announcer for the NFL someday.

As a niner fan I hate Green Bay so I want Chicago to win.
