MOBILE, Ala. – It’s time for these seniors to play their final collegiate game. We had a great time watching them in Mobile all week, now it’s time for some live football. Judging by the turnout in the parking lot, this game should be a fun atmosphere.
The South has won the toss and has elected to receive. Keep up with live updates from Ladd-Peebles Stadium.

At this point, it’s almost becoming a routine for Patrick Willis.
Four seasons into his NFL career, and now the 49ers inside linebacker has as many All-Pro selections. On Monday the Associated Press announced its All-Pro Team, and sure enough, Willis was on the list – first team.
This marks the third time Willis has been named first-team All-Pro, and he also has one second-team selection.

With the 7th-overall pick in the 2011 draft…the 49ers could very well select one of the players participating in next week’s Under Armour Senior Bowl. It wouldn’t be out of character for the 49ers, having selected Patrick Willis after he played in the 2007 Senior Bowl, not to mention Mike Iupati and Taylor Mays who played in last year’s game.
That’s why Taylor Price and I will be headed to Mobile, AL this year to bring you as much coverage as possible all throughout the week.

Baas was one of two NFL players who nominated Sprague, head coach at Riverview High School in Sarasota, Fla.

The San Francisco 49ers would like honor Gran DeMerritt, a lifelong 49ers fan, who passed away over the weekend. Gran served as a 49ers usher for all 24 years the team played at Kezar Stadium and had worked in the Candlestick Park press box ever since. Gran led an extraordinary life dedicated to public service, and his presence on gameday will be missed.
