49ers Waive RB DeShawn Wynn

Posted by Taylor Price on December 27, 2010 – 3:57 PM

The San Francisco 49ers announced Monday afternoon that they have waived RB DeShawn Wynn.

Wynn was originally signed to the 49ers practice squad on November 8, 2010, and later promoted to the active roster on November 30. He appeared in three games for the 49ers this season on special teams.

Shyt we need to waive, a handfull of other mofo’s…REAL TALK…One is ALEX SMITH …sound familiar?…same shyt as always in crucial situations he gets stripped of the ball, throws a pick..or some shyt always happends..this time not only did it cost us the game…it cost us the season!!!!!!!!

yup i agree alex smith should just be fired! number 1 draft bust!

Mike singletary costs us the season.. He was too inconsistant with the QB spot. I really hope we sign john gruden or bill cowher as our next head coach

I know FOR A FACT that Alex Smith is a good QB. None of our problems this year were his fault. He should be resigned and can lead this team to a championship. If he would have started that Rams game we would have won hands down. I guarantee a lot of other football executives would love to have Alex on board and if we let him get away, we will be kicking ourselves later

Get rid of the the 1-2 Smith Death Punch, and Carr now. Let Davis run the last game, then get rid of him.

First of all you can’t FIRE a player, you RELEASE him. And doing so would be pointless because he’s a free agent after the season. KNOW YOUR TEAM BEFORE COMMENTING! I can’t stand uninformed fans. By the way, J. Russell and R. Leaf are much, much worse busts than Alex. But a bust is a bust and picking him over Rogers set the franchise back over half a decade!

I am not sticking up for Alex Smith but once again he is not the only reason we did not make the playoffs!!!The play calling all year hasn been awful not to mention we had a hard time getting plays called on time. Our DEF could not sack thye QB ,our DB’S couldn’t get a stop when we needed one, and the O’line didn’t exactly play very good on a regular basis. It was alot more than one or two guys, and for all of you blind fans who think Nate Davis is the answer give me a break!!!!Mark my words the 49ers will cut Alex Smith and someone like the New England Patriots will pick him up and he will sit behind Tom Brady for a few years learn the system and then take over and won’t miss a beat!!! Remember it’s about coaching and having a system in place which we have not had in some time!!!!!!

Stop talking about Nate Davis already please. I’m tired of hearing him. He’s so dumb that he can’t even learn a 5 page playbook. Why you think no one wants to pick him up? And as far as letting alex smith go, how about getting rid of Troy Smith as well cuz he can’t throw at all. Get rid of Shawntae Spencer as well as Nate Clements. They can’t cover.

  13. By Papa Stan on Dec 27, 2010 | Reply

Last 2 games start off with our All American corner who can’t make a play. Nate Clements what a joke like our whole secondary. San Diego and Rams we’re in the hole 7 nothing, but blame Alex. He also plays defense right?

let troy an davis battle it out this offseason…..i dont wanna waste another 1st round draft pick on a qb. theres no one good in the draft and u know we dont wanna wait for 2 or 3 years for a rookie to develop. oh heres a idea give washington a 3rd round pick for mcnabb

WTH are u guyz talking about. get rid of alex and then start troy 4 nxt season. im sure thats what john gruden will do cuz i think we all know they will get him. but either way, they need to dump off alex and start troy.

I agree with paul, they should have started Alex, we would have won the game. The penalties hurt us. The 9ers are still a young team. With new staff they will create a winning team. we have a winning team. the right coach will leed them to the Superbowl in 2012. I was upset they lost, yes, but I still support our team. Go 49ers!

  19. By BRETT T on Dec 27, 2010 | Reply

The 49ers might as well start Nate Davis on the final game. just to see if he can either be thier number 2 qb or even #1 qb. Really, what do the 49ers have to lose?

Hey i agree u cannot blame Alex for everything…..if Alex goes to GB and we pick up Aaron….whats to say Aaron doesn’t turn out the same…with 6 thats right six different OCs….and Aaron learned behind a Hall of Famer…that cannot be underestimated, he wasnt thrown to the wolves….Now with that said, i was a Singletary supporter, but it was completely obvious he had NO idea what was goin on out there…and as some1 else put it if Alex starts that game….i think we leave with a W
    THAT IS ALL

    Alex Smith

Shouldered the blame for every mishap in the season! You all have seen the games played. A lot of games lost by 3 or fewer points. Does Alex play CB on defense or safety? Did he let an interception late in the Atlanta game that was a sure victory fumbled away. Wow last time I checked Qb’s dont play Defense. There were a lot of things that went awry this season. The obvious is the philosophy behind Coach Singletary. I very very good player, inexperienced at coach, and it showed. Alex did have a hard time in this organization. and the organization Knows that! for a fact they know. There is no better way to dismantle your #1 pick and many many millions by giving him what it is now I lost count 6 Offense Systems!. LEt me guess Alex is to blame again for the loss on Sunday to the RAMS. I dont think so. What was the stat, oh yeah he threw as many yards as TRoy smith did in 3 plus quarters of play. Would ALex would have won that game, I really think so. NExt for the organization, they should really bring in the coach to stabilize the QB. Spend your pick on a CB and more CB. and more LB, D line. You have a QB. You spend millions on him, invest not only in ALEx smith but what you already invested in. DOnt let money walk out the door and have some team like the seahawks or cardinals yet, the patriots or colts take your QB away and burn us in the future. If you are reading ALex Smith, do what you have been doing, stay positive, do what you have been doing, you will be an elite QB in the league.

If you think gruden or cowher are coming to frisco dont hold your breathe..lol. The 49ers are not gonna land a big name guy untill they prove they’re a stable organization…it’s gonna take alittle more than just the weather to get a proven football mind here…

  26. By jrow989 on Dec 27, 2010 | Reply

Of course its not all alex smiths fault but lets be realistic…alex smith has absolutely zero entangibles….His mechanics are horrible…And for those reasons alone he will NEVER be a franchise QB…He is a system QB and a 2nd string journeymen at best in this league

  27. By DOUG Holzkamp on Dec 27, 2010 | Reply

This is the cleansing of all the left over coaches and staff that will need to be done to build a franchise up from the roots. No one coach can make the 49ers win. It will be the new GM, head coach and coaching staff from inovative talented and proven football minds working together in a system. A franchise QB is #1 draft need followed by talented defensive backs and safeties. Jed York needs to spend top dollar for all of the above and I believe he will. “GO NINERS”

49ers new direction started moment when fired couch Singletary.49ers now need be need everything new.New couch and couches, new director of operation same new players, and will have new direction and new stadium. What they can not change is local press.Press is very pleas what York did.He got lat praise for maturity to fire Singletary.Well i seen press how they tread Nolan ,and how Singletary .Virdo Nolan was toast of society in San Francisco But black couch in liberal San Francisco in nano.I seen women reporter accusing being drank at beginning Monday morning press conference.Well ,she has well qualification for San Francisco,no testosterone.
Instead little changes and being on the way 49ers have to start again from bottom.Well good luck to them,my advice to 49ers is read more own blog, what people who has not any own motives saying to you, than local press.York if you do this, play to they tunes, they will put you down beyond them self right away.

My question to the people that say “Alex Smith was not our problem”, my question to them is, have you even watched the games this year? Or have you just looked at the stats on nfl.com? He is probably the 2nd biggest problem on this team(1st is coaching).

  33. By Mike on Dec 27, 2010 | Reply

@tonyaranza I agree with you about our needs, but I really think center is not one of them. David Baas is doing a great job this year, and will likely get an extension. Heitmann would then probably be gone. Wragge is a good backup, since he can play every position.

  34. By Mike on Dec 27, 2010 | Reply

@KEEGAN Is that all you can really say? Insulting Nate Davis? Really dude? I agree that he probably won’t become the black John Elway as many say. And I’ve never thought he should be starting, but maybe he should for this game. I just don’t know. But he SHOULD be brought back next year.

Alex Smith should not be back next year. I want Troy to be back, let him learn the whole playbook, and get a full training camp. To say he can’t throw at all is just plain stupid.

getting rid of BOTH Clements AND Spencer is also just plain stupid. And to say that can’t cover is also stupid. Clements is one of the best tackling corners in the league, but if his contract isn’t restructured, then he shouldn’t be back next year. Spencer WILL be back, he is our best coverage corner. ya he’s not in his 2005 form, but is still good.

We should draft Patrick Peterson or Prince Amukamara in the first round. But is Luck falls(which he won’t) then get him. The only other QB I would draft in the first round is Mallet. If we don’t get Patrick or Prince in the first, we need to get Ras-I Dowling, or another corner in the 2nd.

49ers need to spend some money and hire Tony Dungy as our new head Coach. He would turn our team around and we would make it to the Superbowl in 2012. We have the talent to do so. Alex and the team need better leadership. And by the way Mike Singletary was not fired, he was let go. he is a good person. he brought great Christian morals to our team. It is time for new leadership. Go 49ers……..

Hiring the right coach will make or break the next season. It is obvious that a QB should be drafted as the SMITH’s are not the answer. Davis should be kept as back up, maybe in 3-4 years he will learn the playbook.

What I think that we should do as a team is cut start Carr this last week, see what he brings to the table. Smith doesn’t really give any receivers a chance to make a play after the catch because he is always throwing it high. Earlier in the season most of his ints were because he threw his pases to high. As for Troy, I say keep him, he brings a spark and could be depended on for a back up and bring back Nate, after the season, go after an experienced qb like Palmer and in the late round pick up a qb. Our O-line took a hit when Hiteman went down and took a harder hit when Joe went out. but other than them two I think that our o-line could be pretty good, move Baas over to the RG position. Also on defense I really think that our lack of depth at the CB position really hurt us, it seemed like we went form haveing three to four starting cb’s to just two. Our major problems, in my opinion was starting out games strong setting the tone for the rest of the game. From the games I have watched the early in the season we started out setting a tone, just lost. then we started beating ourselves with dumb penalties.

You guys are funny…….THE FACT IS, Alex Smith is TERRIBLE….TERRIBLE……TERRIBLE, what part of TERRIBLE do you Alex lovers not understand???????? Alex Smith is like a slot machine, every once in a while he will pay off for you, but most of the time he just soaks up the money and you lose in the end. This is the NFL, not Vegas….so Alex can get the HELL OUT of San Francisco. Our corners are TERRIBLE, (Nate was good at one time, but we don’t need good tackling corners……we need shutdown corners and our corners can’t shut anyone down) Troy Smith could be the next Randall Cunningham if groomed properly, but right now Troy is too hyper and inconsistent (for those of you that don’t know who Randall was, he was an Ex-Eagle…and he was a lot like Steve Young). Also, Nate Davis was the one not given a fair shot, NOT Alex. Alex has has 6 YEARS worth of shots (more than any other team in the NFL would have ever given that piece of garbage). Get rid of Carr, Rachal, Morgan, and Haralson. We could also get rid of Joe Staley and Eric Heitman ONLY because they are ALWAYS injured and we need to free up that money. The only REAL solid players that we have had this year were Takeo Spikes, Justin Smith, Mike Lupati, Manny Lawson, and sometimes Crabtree and Vernon Davis.

What another Hard-to-swallow end of the season. As I am glad to see Singletary go (for this is 2010 almost 2011), todays game is fast paced and can not be won in the Defensive Mind-set style that mike had. It’s not the 80’s. For a team that has had the most 1st possesion Touchdown Scores at the beggining of the game this season in 10 years, and chooses to kick not receive, on the most important game of the season? He did not even know his own team!! As for QB’s, would love a Brady or Vick or a great QB..but for what we have, Alex Smith is 10 times a better QB than Troy at the time. He should not have been starting against this game (Troy who holds the ball to long, does not know enough plays to audible or read the D-fense). Troy had to stay to basic, and that wasn’t going to cut it. So quickly we forget that Alex Smith practically Almost 3 playoff teams, the Saints 3-point loss comback, the Eagles 3 point loss comeback, the Close loss to Atlanta, and the Inhillation of the Seahawks. So troy beat Denver (garbage) and the rams earlier. If you look at his stats, other teams already want Alex and he will end up doing well wherever he goes. He needs the protection, and the games that alex lost, our game could not rush for more than 1 or 2 yards per play. Whatever happens, 9ers please make me a proud fan again. PS– Steve Young for head Coach!!!!!! Lets start a patition.

I will really be surprised if the :Boy King will really hire a proven gm, he wants to emulate Jerry Jones and that doesn’t mean giveing up control. I can’t see any good coach wanting to come to this mess, or a gm either. A Smith isn’t the only reason for our problems, there are to many to fix in one draft. Of line Db backs Qb.

  57. By n9ner on Dec 28, 2010 | Reply

young QB. no veteran leadership. lets move on, stay with one smith get rid of the other. sign a veteran QB thats quite capable of taking over and grooming our young QB, get gruden in there. maybe mcnabb can fit in for two seasons or so. the nucleus is there. If 9ers continue this back n fourth with the QBS the offensive line will sooner than later play for just a check or possibly move on. Singletary you tried. however, the players would again sooner than later loose hope and respect for you as was seen on national television. find yourself a job as a defensive coordinator. where you will most likely succeed.

i have idea for owners of 49ers.
my idea is easiest way to manage successful football club. It was newer done in NFL,but it is perfect working in another kind of business.Just to started 49ers again,my idea is to rent them for short period.I even most powerful countries, like China and Russia did it one time or another. How it do it?York will be have in there hands all the hardware.Just rent to another, day to day decision and responsibility. What is advantage of that is ,they will have power of major decision, but they will to share money, to hire and fire personals..And if 49ers have loosing season they will be had no profit ,they even will be loose them.York will be save all the time and during that period all claw will be clear for them.

i do not believe you can blame a hall of fame player like mike singeltary for our teams trouble. Until the players start to challenge other players for their poor play and lack of desire we will continue our losing ways no matter the coach.Looking back into the eyes of coach singeltary when he played for the bears you could see the desire and leadership which could turn average players into all pros. I do remember the 49ers of the 1980s some who may not looked like the best drafts on paper but a player desire to win can never be measured. Players like dwight clark, roger craig, freddie solomon, keena turna , wright , hicks, williamson, lott who played in our wonderful secondary all had desire that seems to lacking on our current roster. We have just as much talent on our team as atlanta but their players are playing with different level of desire.

I have been a 9r fan since 1946, a season ticket holder from 1972 until 2007. I moved to Edmond, OK & had to give up my tickets. I, like most of the other folks in this “column” have opinions, also. I will keep mine to myself. I attended the Ram/9r game this past sunday & was as just as sad as all the fans that we lost. I listened to the ram players & coaches on the radio after the game. The coaches said that “if the 49ers cut Alex Smith, he will hook up with another team, come out to SF & beat the 9rs”. Their words, not mine. Their feeling was he NEVER got the support necessary to succeed, especially from the coaching portion. Do we need better play from the QB position? Absolutely! Do we need to draft a QB. Probably! Maybe now we can hire a GM that has NFL knowledge and he will hire an experienced NFL coach.

Since the YORKS have owned Niners we have SUCKED! Has been coaches, no good QB, if they were good we let them GO…OC sucks…3rd and 20 we run the ball up the middle…Are kiddin me????

@ ROB, Josh Morgan is a good receiver. He isn’t afraid to take the hit either. I do agree with letting Rachal, Carr, Heitmann. Not so much staley, he has gotten injured yeah, but when he is in the game, he holds his own. T.GIN JR is iffy, if we keep him, it should be as a returner only. There are a few TE we can let go, just not walker or davis. Will James can go, Demetric Evans, Chris Maragos, Barry Sims, Chris Patrick, I think it was adams or Brown who is killing us so they need to go. I am on the fence with cj spillman, Wragge, Brooks, A.Dixon, Reggie Smith, Snyder, and byham. I factor in age as well, yeah exp. comes with it, but they game is only getting faster. This is all my opinion.

I don’t blame the season on Alex or Troy. I honestly think coaching has alot to do with how a quarterback does. If Joe Montana would have entered when Alex did and had six different coordinators (and I might add lousy ones at that) Joe would probably be in the same boat Alex is in. I think with a good coach Alex could be a good quarterback. The play calling was awful all season. Hell…. I knew the next play sitting at home watching. In the stadium all the fans knew the next play. You don’t think the opposing defense knew the next play? It’s easy to put the blame all on Alex, but there was much more to why the niners blew it this season. It’s not all Alex. I say renew all of the offensive coaches. The offense can do better.

Viliam, it is not “couch” it is coach. A couch is something you sit on. at least learn how to spell and speak if your going to say anything. you don’t know it all. there are others on this blog that know what they are talking about because they either watch a lot of football or they have played the game. you don’t know what you are talking about. you make no sense what so ever!

I agree with you David A. when Alex first came to the 49ers, if he would have had the right coaching staff he would be awesome today. we would be winning Superbowls. back in the day our team had great coaches. we were the best. 5 time champs. Those were the days, but today they are much stronger and faster. with the right coaching staff, we will be their again. Let’s hope they choose the right GM. Go 49ers…….

Alex Smith have problem not just because of couches,Alex is nice person,he gives to charity more than one mill. But his personality is colliding with personalities of NFL players. He know that, because he spoke about it him self.He sad thing like, how fortunate is because grove up he has everything and how misfortune same another players are.People in locker room can feel that ,even if Alex sad nothing.Anyway ,even if he was good player,Alex is not good, because of his stile and injuries. Each year he was on bench like six games just because he was injured.

Hey Alex Smith is a good QB. Our offensive line did pretty good this year but i didnt like how Anthony Davis played this year, he didnt play as well as i hoped for a 1st round pick. I hope 49ers get a QB in the draft (like Luck or Mallet) and maybe a defensive lineman to help Justin Smith (hint the Auburn DT). Im hoping for Jim Harbaugh as HEAD COACH!!!!!!!!. Then get Jon Gruden as a GM. Man i hope 49ers dont dissapoint next year like this one.

Viliam you need to find a good couch, since you can’t say “coach” correctly, sit on it and kiss your own sorry A**. you tell me to live you alone, you turn around and call me a female, Get a life pal. I have been a true 9er fan for over 30 years, have spent way over $10,000 in 49er merchandise, my red & gold Hummer is plastered with 49er decals. We are 100% 49er fans here in our town. You need to learn how to speak correctly, so that you don’t sound stupid dude. you also said to rent the team out in a blog that made no sense. that is one of the dumbest things I have ever heard in my life. lol

You can’t put all the blame on Alex Smith.
First game against the seahawks: Yea he threw some picks, but they were two were tips because of Crabtree. Our defense thought they had it in the bag.
Second Game against Saints: Alex Smith led us on the 82 yard drive for a TD. Once again, our defense (Goldson got burned by Colston) gave up the whole field to lose by a Fg.
Third Game against the Chiefs: Just a horrible game by our entire offense. While our defense gives up over 30 points.
Fourth Game against the Falcons: Alex Smith gave us the lead. Yet again, our defense can’t close it out. Nate (Overpaid) Clements decides to return the pick instead of going down to win the game. He then fumbles and Matt Ryan goes on to win the game.
Our Fifth Game against the Eagles: He got us the lead, and then our Defense gives it right back up. He throws a pick to end the game. He would have never been in that situation if our Defense played better.
Basically our defense was horrible and did not meet expectations by far. They gave up at least 20 points every game. “offense wins games, defense wins championships” This obviously is not true…”the best offense is a good defense”

  89. By Robert on Dec 29, 2010 | Reply

@ REX P – Start Nate Daves? So your saying start him because he has speed and quickness? Does Peyton Manning have speed and quickness? NO! Peyton Manning is one of the greatest because his vision, awareness, accuracy, and instincts. Nate Davis has none of that. He has a cannon arm just like JaMarcus Russell, look where he is at now. Just because you critics out there think the Smiths’ played poorly, don’t make excuses and suggest Nate Davis. Our O-Line played horrible (Anthony davis especially). How do you expect a QB to do good with no time in the pocket? Our defense was an embarrasment to this league (period) We need a cover corner, because Nate Clements and Shawntae Spencer can not cover at all. We also need a D-Lineman that will create some pressure. If the 49ers keep Alex Smith, I’m all for it. Just privide him with linemen, and a defense that won’t give up the lead every game.

PS – Troy Smith is NOT and NEVER will be an NFL QB. But he could be a multi-purpose guy like Brad Smith on Jets to throw some wrinkles in O game plan. Need the right coach to see that I guess (again).

Second…The Yorks need to quit using the team as a TAX SHELTER and get serious about their investment and the Game of Football! It starts with the GM!!!

I think Paul and JR Baca have been smoking something very potent. Alex Smith is not the only reason for the 49ers downfall, but he’s a large part of it. A #1 draft pick should come into any camp and contribute right away and not have to make excuses of changing offensive coordinators or anything else. He has never lived up to his draft position or even a 5th rounder. He’s not an NFL quarterback, starter or bench player.

57NINER, I DO AGREE WITH WHAT YOU ARE SAYING, UNCLE EDDIE SHOULD HIRE THE NEW GM, I BELIEVE THAT IF THE OWNERS WANT TO EVER HAVE A WINNING TEAM LIKE THE 80’s AND EARLY 90’s, THEY WILL CHOOSE THE RIGHT STAFF AND PLAYERS. WE AS FANS OFFER OUR OWN OPINIONS AND SUGGESTIONS. I KNOW THAT ALEX WAS PARTLY AT FAULT BECAUSE HE DID NOT HAVE THE RIGHT COACHING STAFF, ALEX COULD BECOME A GREAT QB WITH OUR TEAM OR ANY OTHER TEAM IF THEY WERE TO RELEASE HIM, BUT I DON’T BELIEVE THAT THEY ARE GOING TO RELEASE HIM. OVERALL WE HAVE A GREAT TEAM, THEY JUST NEED NEW LEADERSHIP. WE HAD A LOT OF CLOSE GAMES THIS SEASON, PARTLY BECAUSE OF A LOT OF PENALTIES, MISTAKES AND JUST BAD PLAY CALLING. THEY NEED TO CHOOSE AN INTELLIGENT COACHING STAFF THAT WILL LEAD OUR TEAM IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION TO START WINNING SUPERBOWL’S EVERY SEASON. I BELIEVE THAT 2011 TO 2012 IS GOING TO BE OUR SUPERBOWL YEAR, THIS WAS A WAKE-UP CALL FOR THE OWNERS AND TEAM. NEW LEADERSHIP IS COMING! GO SF49ERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alex smith cannot be “let go.” He becomes a free agent at the end of the season and may sign with whomever he wishes. and the owners cannot be “fired” unless they do it to themselves. Eddie D cannot come back. He is barred for life. It was not a mere “transgression.” It was a federal crime. And let’s not fanatasize about coaches who are not interested, are unavailable, or already have big jobs (see Holmgren). Less wishful thinking, more thought.

We can only hope Alex does not resign with the 9ers. He is a coach killer (not that Sing. helped himself and I agree needed to go). Alex has had TWO of the “best” offensive coordinators in the league and one of them (Martz) felt that Shawn Hill was better than Alex and started him suntil Sing. made him switch. I am willing to take my chances Alex will never amount to more than a viable back-up somewhere (or losing for another organization). Unless he can sit in the pocket for 5 seconds…he is not good. I lick the analogy with the slot machine above!

We need to clean house. We need a good draft, a lockout next season and another good draft in order to compete with other divisions. No need to ponder NFC west, it s#cks. 118. By tru9erfan on Jan 2, 2011 | Reply

Well the season will come and go after this finale home game today. I don’t know about you guys but I was really expecting our 9ers to have won the west and to have hosted a home playoff game this season not to be ending it like this. With so much uncertainty going into next season with a search to find the right GM and a new coach and possibly a new QB. Let me also say about the QB that I believe that this organization and coaching staff threw the years did him NO favors. The 49ers have been down way to long and for the last couple of season’s there is no excuses for it other than just to much inconsistency at the coordinator spot and with such differences in philosophy at the OC spot as well. It seemed like the coaches and management were just trying to put a staff together when they should’ve been looking for coaches that fit a system. Me, I think we lost our identity as an offensive unit when we walked away from the west coast offence that this team ran since I’ve been a fan. Now I don’t blame management for some of the inconsistency at that OC spot it wasn’t their fault that two would become Head Coaches but I do blame them for the development of Alex Smith. When you draft a player and you really never give him the opportunity to show case his talents that made him the number one overall pick that’s an indictment on the coaching staff and management because you don’t draft a player number one overall and try to put him in your offence you build the offence around him and all of his strenghts and the organization did none of that but I do hope who ever comes to be the coach would try to get a deal done that would bring Alex back. Now about Jed York he has just stepped to the front of the 49ers organization over the last couple of years and I think if given the opportunity by the fans he will get it right. Now about Trent Baalke if Jed York does hire him as the San Francisco 49ers new general manager I’m ok with that because if Trent had any say in the drafting of Anthony Davis, Mike Iupati, Tayor Mays and Bowmen then just maybe he can evaluate talent now as far as a coach is concerned I say hire Brian Billick then go out and trade for Kevin Kolb and bring back Alex Smith, hire a OC that runs the west coast offence and then we should be able to take this division next season. Oh yeah, and they should restructure Nate Clements contract and put him back in a safety position because the guy has great ball skills he’s just lost a step.

I’ve been a loyal fan of the 49ers for since the the early eighties. I look forward to all the changes on the team and look forward to seeing our team in the playoffs and a Superbowl contenders in the near future. I don’t want to talk bad about any of our teammates that are leaving the team, maybe they will play better for other teams. I trust and believe in our new coach that he will get us there. God Bless you 49ers and your families and I look forward to this next season.
