Obviously the 49ers are searching for answers, I don’t know if they are pressing the panic button yet, but I don;t see why Troy Smith shouldn’t get a shot at what seems to be a lost season!!! LOL Troy

BRING BACK NATE DAVIS…..What in the hell is wrong with Management. Do you not have the mental capacity to include Westbrook in the mix. Come’on coaches listen to your die hard fans.

    Stop the Foolishness

Whats the deal with Nate Davis. He obviously didnt get the back up position for a reason. He is good but not ready. Troy has been in the league at least three years so he knows what to expect. Give him a shot

I would like to see Nate Davis back on the team. Please sign the guy back. He showed he could play in the preseason before somebody else does.

I think Troy Smith needs a shot…. and as the earlier fan said… PUT IN WESTBROOK for goodness sakes!!!!!! I love Frank Gore… but having that double punch… always keep em guessing…. GO NINERS!!!!!

If Troy cant play against a team who gave up 59 points to the sorry raiders then I think we’ll be seeing Nate Davis at home after the bye week.

The 49ers dont even deserve a bye week. 10 game winning streak I dont think so VERNON you gotta have every person in that lockeroom thinking the same.

Starting Troy Smith is a statement about the 49′s lack of faith in David Carr. Why oh why did they bother picking up Carr? If Troy Smith bombs bring Nate Davis in and give him a chance. Losing to the Panthers says more about how inept this team is. Too many penalties, poor coaching, a below average offensive line and a defense placing poorly. The 49′s will be lucky to win any more games this year. Alex Smith is gone and I hate to admit it but Mike Singletary probably has to go. Bring in an offensive minded coach who has some experience actually coaching a team.

  18. By terry on Oct 27, 2010 | Reply

are you kidding me!!! will they have to roll that dog rachal off on a stretcher before (singleminded) will bench his lazy a/.;’s! anthony davis is getting killed playing both guard and tackle, they even made him pull for chiloh on power runs cause rachal is the reincarnation of bubba(FA) paris!! fire singlemind and move on now.

why bother with carr? cut him , bring nate up . try to win some games and get ready for chuckies regime!!!!!!!

  21. By Al on Oct 27, 2010 | Reply

The 49ers have to wait till the end of the year before they can get the coach they want/need.

  22. By BIGG CHUGG on Oct 27, 2010 | Reply

i don’t see why they don’t just start carr? – the guy was just put in….and yes he threw some picks, but atleast give him a chance to get some reps in. i think singletary needs to go to. his famous quote is “I DON’T KNOW” – well…..what do you know – about your players????? –

    Bring Back NATE DAVIS!!!!!!! Sonn..

  24. By Michael on Oct 27, 2010 | Reply

Here some advice start using both backs westbrook and gore having them alternate will give them time to rest and it will b like having a fresh RB everytime and esp. becuz they r both extremely good and have speed they can wear a defense down and start troy smith…alex smith had his chances and aint doing nothing and carr is washed up…troy is ur best bet and if u dont win ne games soon which the way ur going ur not going to mine as well get a good quaterback high in the draft and start building cuz u def could use it at least we wont finish 0-16 but i cant say we wont finish 1-15…maybe well have a chance next year..

  25. By cheno30 on Oct 27, 2010 | Reply

I agree they should bring Nate Davis back and get rid of the BUM Carr and i think they need to use Dixon more forget Westbrook Dixon is much better and Troy Smith will do a good job lets just hope our deffence can keep the broncos in check and we gotta quit going to Gore for everything i know hes a stud but dam he is getting 54% of all our offence plays

Hey, your last name must be SMITH to play QB for the Niners. So, if Nate changes his name to NATE SMITH, he will get to play.

I truely believe that our 9er team is going to start winning games, new quarterback, fresh start, just stay focused, work real hard and hold on to the ball. we have to win every game from here on out. woudn’t it be cool to see our SF Giants win the World Series and our 9ers win the the Superbowl. Go SF Giants & 49ers, bring home the Big One. May God’s blessing’s be on both our teams, amen!

It’s not over yet, keep the faith because this team is going to play to it’s full potential and make a run.

  32. By 805faithful on Oct 27, 2010 | Reply

I wish him luck on sunday but let’s have Nate ready to go just in case. I agree with putting Westbrook in, I mean why did we get him for if we ain’t useing him. I understand that Frank loves to get the ball but i want to see us score more than just on the first drive. It’s not how you start but how you finish and we can’t finish for Sh%!!

Has anyone notice how our DB’s either bite to early or don’t even turn their heads to deflect the ball. If we don’t fix that this week then K. Orten is going to have a good game against our DB’s (Spencer/Clements).

Let’s stop finding ways to lose 49ers.

How many times have we shuttled Brock on and off the roster this year?

  34. By Michael on Oct 28, 2010 | Reply

oo and one other thing use ur recievers you have Davis, Crabtree and Morgan who can all catch and run…get them the ball it says alot bout how confident your qb is in his abilities and as i see not very confident becuz Gore a RB has 150+ rushes and the most receptions on the team…ppl look and say wow thats good but its not y would u want a RB to have the most receptions when he gets the ball in the back field most the time and yeah get positive yards but nothing like you would get tossin one down field to one of the WR or deadly fast TE…and for those who think the niners still have a chance this year after lossing 6 games and winning one against the raiders ( and one of the games we lost was to CAROLINA) you r blind… this season is over but ill keep watching cuz their my team but they need to do somehting

  35. By JR Baca on Oct 28, 2010 | Reply

    D. Broncos suck, our 9ers will win this Sunday and win every other game we play, keep the faith. If you are a true 49ere fan, only say good things about our team, if not, go find another team to cry about. faithful fans will stay faithfull win or lose. we need to deffend our team no matter what. If you have nothing good to say, stay away from every blog. GO 49ERS…

OMG our fans are such whiners and so extremely overly negative. Losing to the Panthers doesn’t say anything other than that we didn’t win the game. We had that game under control. We lost out. The Panthers always win coming off the bye. They can have 1 win in a season, and it will always be the game coming off the bye. Plus, they had 2 weeks to prepare for us. Then we lose our starting QB late in a game where we had bad field position all game

  42. By Sonic98 on Oct 28, 2010 | Reply

The team does have a chance to turn the season around. Just like we’re 1-6, some other team can go on a 3 or 4 game losing streak. There are no undefeated teams in the NFC and most of the 3 loss teams might lose this week, but getting into the playoffs and winning the division is not the only way to define turning the season around. If we can just play improved ball in the 2nd half of the season and startign winnnign games whether we make it in or not, I conider that an inprovement.

Hi, I think that the niners need a real inner change, maybe this season is not rolling on wheels, but I would like to see big plays with Westbrook, or the rookie Kyle Williams where are they?. don´t forget that Brian will only stay this season with niners, please use it, by the way please niners bing Leroy Vann he is a great player I don´t know why they waived this guy?. I think that could be a good idea if the niners start to talk after season with coach Parcells, I want that he becomes our coach, imagine him and Singletary coordinating offense and defense, niners need more discipline or what do you think fans? or am I wrong.
Anyway gooo niners and keep having faith. Just believe in yourselves.

Hate to break this to you there is no way ND will be able to play in this game. He is not on the 53 man roster, ND is still on the practice squad and those guys are allowed to travel with the team. That is why he is stretching behind Troy Smith in the pic

  48. By Michael on Oct 28, 2010 | Reply

Well no duh Nate Davis was never off the niners team he just aint on the active roster the reason he is in the picture is becuz hes on the practice squad which means they still practice with the team…

Please bring back Nate Davis? The Kid doesn’t even know the playbook you idiots. Wow I was laughing hard when you guys were like “WE WANT CARR WE WANT CARR” You got Carr and he costed us the game. lol Stupid 49er fans

Nate Davis had one good play in preseason playing against a 3rd string defense, i think you are giving him too much credit

Sorry to say but NO PLAYERS are the answer at this point NO PLAYERS.

We need a seasoned GM and a JIM Harbaugh or a real Head Coach with a REAL Coaching system with a REAL plan that understands ALL aspects of the GAME.

Alex Smith, Troy Smith, Nate Davis, Frank Gore, our TERRIBLE DEFENSSE are not going to thrive in this “KEYSTONE COPS” Atmoshphere. I’m a HUUUUGE fan but I also know the game very well and am a realist. I’ll live and die a NINER but this COACHING STAFF is a complete joke. 2 & 1/2 seasons with Singeltary A coach who has ZERO Coordinating experience, ZERO and he’s a head coach for 2 & 1/2 SEASONS are you KIDDING ME-Time TO GET SOME GONE!!!!!!!!!

  52. By Juan on Oct 28, 2010 | Reply

I agree with the one’s who say that Nate Davis won’t do as good as you think because it seems the QB who Sing decides to start gets all the reps and there not enough left for the backup QB’s to get ready for any injury to the starter, just like how it happen to Carr it would of happened to Troy Smith and Nate Davis, the team lost the game because they have no confidence in there backups, and SIng especially, Carr got sacked before he snapped the ball by Sing and our offensive coordinator not letting him throw it more often, they should of called a timeout to give Carr more time to warm up, and now they simply go with T. Smith and I agree because Carr seemed unprepared mentally to go in the game, too much rust IMO.

  53. By DC on Oct 28, 2010 | Reply

    Well said Juan

In order for the backup QB to be prepared you have to allow the snaps in practice. Unfair for Carr, Davis, or who ever they put into that position.

bring back nate davis!!!!!!!! sure hes gonna make some mistakes but what i seen in pre-season he looked the best.he cant be any worse than what we got now thats for sure
