49ers Place S Taylor on IR, Promote S Maragos
Posted by Taylor Price on October 18, 2010 – 4:14 PMThe San Francisco 49ers today announced they have placed S Curtis Taylor on the Injured Reserve List. The team has promoted S Chris Maragos from the practice squad to the active roster. Taylor suffered a torn quadriceps muscle against the Philadelphia Eagles on October 10.
Maragos (5-10, 200) spent the first six games of the season on the 49ers practice squad after originally signing with the team as an undrafted free agent on April 26, 2010. He played collegiately at Wisconsin.
Maragos was one of the players featured in training camp in 49ers.com’s “Road to the Roster” series.

Unfortunate to see a player like Taylor go down. He works he’s tail off and was great on special teams. Keep your head up Curtis.
