49ers Sign CB Brock to Practice Squad

Posted by Taylor Price on September 15, 2010 – 4:01 PM

The San Francisco 49ers announced they have signed CB Tramaine Brock to the team’s practice squad. Brock originally made the team’s 53-man roster this season, but was released Tuesday to make room for WR Jason Hill on the roster.

KNBR Thursday at 6am interview—-Jimmy Raye knows how to call a good game but has difficulty explaining and communicating. So basically we need a psychic to relay what play he is “thinking” of running..Coach Singletary, I respect and root for ya, but this old man is jeopardizing YOUR and many other peoples careers..You gotta deal with this NOW, not next week, the bye week, or the off season..Fans will be finding other ways to waste their Sundays pretty soon.

Nobody is saying it but Singletary is really responcible for all the game screw-ups with play communications. This team was not ready to play and thats Singletarys fault.

I truly believe it goes way beyond Jimmy Raye not getting the play in. Jimmy Raye just doesn’t have any plays in his arsenal , And Singletary has been trying to cover that up for sometime now. If the 49ers get behind in a game we simply don’t have the play calling to fight back . We have weapons , But the coordinator doesn’t have plays to capitalize on there strong points. There only as good as the guy calling the plays.

Singletary’s actions indicate that he has “no confidence” in Smith…..”no confidence” in Carr……”no confidence” in Davis. He brings in Smith (Troy) who he CANNOT have confidence in because T.Smith knows absolutely nothing about the offensive scheme of the 9ers. So if you have “no confidence” in the 4 QBs in your org and you MUST play one of them…..it makes better sense to play Davis (who can make this happen and learn from doing) than it does to play the other two proven failures. Just sayin’…

I was at the game sunday, and i was truly embarrassed. everything that i expected to happen, happened, but for the other team. it’s terrible to see this team that we had such high expectations for fall into the same situation again. red zone failures, falling behind, giving up on the run game, and going strictly shotgun with a quarterback who we’ve invested 5 long years into, hoping he’d finally get it, but hasn’t. i don’t know if switching coordinators is the answer since that’s been the excuse we’ve used for the last half decade, but maybe find someone within the system, who knows the system, with a different playcalling philosophy? i can’t even fathom planning on watching another installation of a new system with the same QB.

I think our niners need to utilize the fullback more…..Like in the Tom Rathman days….It’s no secret that teams are keying on Gore. I’d also like to see more 2 tight end formations in the red zone…Bynam is a beast that can help the running game but the niners need to utilize the fullback more in the passing game.

I have been an ardent 49er fan since the days of YA Tittle, and the 49erw have always been a passing time first and a running time to keep them honest. Good weather teams are always passing teams, and poor weather teams are most often running teams. The answer is simple, it is hard to handle and pass a football at 32 degrees! Why is Chacago a running team, da?

Mike is responsible for putting the team in a catch-up mode, insisting on running the ball!

Why in the QB coach involved in calling plays?

i will like to add something……nobody has talk about our POOR gaming on DB..yeah defense play good..but when it comes to make a play for DB they just disappear..And next monday we will see that TO MANY TIMES…i can see brees trowing up to 400 yds…
And as long as jimmy raye & others (like DB coordinator and WR coordinator) are on the institution , 49ers would not be a great team, yeah we can be a good team because of our key and outstanding players but the coaches and the fans as well defines a GREAT team. AND FOR GOD SAKE PLEASE PUT ON GORE SOME ACTION AND STOP SENDING “RAYE GUN´S” SInCE FIRST DOWN! AND THEN YOU BLAME HIM BECAUSE OF A RUN THROUGH THE CENTER ON INCHES TO TOUCHDOWN..COME ON! EVEN A 5 YEAR OLD KID WHO PLAYS FOOTBALL HAVE MORE IDEAS THAN THAT!
    49er for life!

Monday nite will be the “real test” for the 49er’s and the faithful. Alex should play like his “football life” is on the line…cause it is!! Show us what you got or this could be a “long & frustrating season”!! Go Niner’s!!!

I bought the rhetoric all off season. I had the 49ers going 10-6 But Now that I have seen the 49er corner backs in action and the lack of offense (again…) I don’t see a game in the schedule that the 49ers can win on their own.
How do you blow 3 timeouts in the first 18 minutes of a game???
At least Cal looks good this season. So there will be football somewhere in the bay area…Just not a professional team.

Im tired of all the pissing and moaning on the part of the “supposed” niner fans.I live in Houston Tx and Rep my Niners every day of the week and more on Sundays. C’mon Ya’ll lets get behind our team and believe we’re on the cusp of someting special. Nate Clements is way over paid ! We keep making mistake after mistake ! Alex Smith is one of the worst QB’s I have ever seen period !! Why did we get rid of Shaun Hill ? He had the ” Magic Touch and confidence to win !! Mike Singletary was hired because Shaun turned around a drasticly losing team with an amazingly terrible Offensive Line. Shaun Hill was 7-0 at home, he broke the all time NFL record for completions in his first game as a starter. He hits the reciever on the numbers in stride, Alex Smith throws to hard in short pass routes and way off the mark ! Shaun Hill won that game for Detroit with that perfectly thrown touch pass to Calvin Johnson that was called back. It was obviously a touchdown. Once again Shaun Hill gets disrespected. I THINK THE 49ERS ARE GETTING PAID OFF TO LOSE TO MAKE WAY FOR OTHER TEAMS. I CAN COME UP WITH BETTER PLAY CALLS THAN JIMMY RAYE OR MIKE SINGLETARY. WHY DO YOU ALWAYS RUN THE BALL STRAIGHT AHEAD, DONT YOU THINK THE DEFENSE IS GONNA PREPARE FOR THAT WHEN YOU DO IT OVER AND OVER AGAIN ? I THINK I AM GONNA BE A DETROIT LIONS FAN THIS WEEK !! GO SHAUN HILL AND BAY AREAS JAHVID BEST !!
