Enter 49ers.com’s Mock Draft Contest!

Posted by Taylor Price on April 15, 2010 – 10:48 AM

We know everyone is excited about the draft being a week away and we’d like to keep the draft discussions going. There’s no denying the passion of you, the 49ers Faithful, on the significance of this event. In reading the comments on this blog, it’s clear that everyone has their own opinions on how this year’s draft will unfold.

With that said, it’s time to see who’s opinions were right…

We’re proud to announce our latest contest on 49ers.com, our 2010 Mock Draft Contest!

Predict the first 10 picks of the 2010 NFL Draft, plus, the 49ers 13th and 17th overall selections in the first round to win a signed 49ers jersey by Pro Bowl tight end Vernon Davis (the 49ers first-round pick in 2006).

*But note, because trades on draft day are common, your top 10 selections must relfect your rankings of the top 10 players, regardless of the team who selects them. In the event that nobody correctly predicts the complete order of the top 10 picks and the 49ers first-round picks, we’ll award the prize to our closest entry.

    Why didn’t the grab mcnab?

  2. By Cheryl on Apr 15, 2010 | Reply

Because McNab is highly overrated. We have a decent QB just needs protection to get things done.

I’ve been a niner fan for over 27 years and i’m sorry but alex smith is not the niners franchise QB we have a decent Oline and Dline its him that is not all that great shaun hill was way better than him.

Please!! Dez Bryant? For what? even if he came in as an athletic superstar, he’d still have to learn the system, and he’s no Crabtree, at least Crabs is intelligent. And of course Alex Smith will not be the answer neither will ANY QB if he doesn’t have adequate protection. Check out some of Alex Smith’s throws from last season and you’ll see that he has the capability to be great. But it’s hard for him to make plays when he has guys all in his face because the O-Line doesn’t hold up. Im excited to see what he and all the receivers and VD can do next year cuz it will be great to watch. And with our defense, we will be a team to beat in the NFC next year. And he is way better than Shaun Hill, sorry.

because he would only be a 1-2 year solution, he’s getting up there in age and has a big contract
he is not overrated, i dont know why people(especially philly fans) always say he is horrible, he is not, he has done so much for that franchise and for them to treat him like they did is a disgrace. philly fans are all a disgrace.
    @rene arevalo jr
no, it would not be a good idea to go out and get ben, while he is a good qb, now is not the time for a qb change.

noooooooo! u can send them in after the draft is over! theres no deadline!*sarcasm* people these days, think first!

we probably wont get an ot since the top 4(williams, okung, bulaga, davis) will most likely be gone by 13, but haden might be there, if he is get him. then at 17, if thomas is there, possibly get him, but im not sold on him, id rather get a safety in the 2nd. if mcclain is still at 17(probably wont since the giants will pick him up) get him to replace spikes in 2 years…

    @rene arevalo jr
2010 is alex smith’s make or break year. if he doesnt put up good numbers, he is gone, he showed strides last season and he has to continue it. and yes we do have a decent D-line, but in no way did we have a decent O-line. it was horrible, probably the worst in the league, bottom 3 atleast. the guard pos. were not very good and the rt pos, well u know. and obviously you dont know anything about football if you really thought that shaun hill was a better qb them smith. smith can actually throw the ball more then 15 yards, he actually can hit receivers. dont say that hill had a better record then smith because he didnt actually, alot of you people think hill was 3-2 while he was actually 3-3, gotta include the houston disaster. compare the numbers, hill threw only 1 200+ yard game, that was in arizona, yes only 1 200 yard game against a schedule that included seattle and st. louis! and after the embarassment the falcons put on us was the houston game and finally after throwing for a lousy 45 yards in the first half, sing benched hill and smith came in the 2nd half and threw for 206 yards, which was only 3 yards off of hills best in just one half, and 3 td’s which was more then half of hill’s. it is obvious that hill is in no way better then smith.

we have a good Q.B.? Which team you been watching for the last 4 years? I hope they go after Tebow. I had faith in Alex Smith until the Seachickens rocked his world. He hasn’t been the same since. Oh, and last year was the very first time he threw for OVER 300 yards in a game. Forget McNabb, I wish they’d gone after his back up Kevin Kolb! Still a fan….PLEASE DRAFT ANOTHER Q.B.!

I think that tim tebow is the qb that the niners need to take,he has everything and then some.I am a niner fan for over 30 years and i know that tebow is the qb.TEBOW will not start until he proves all his doubters wrong. He will work till he gets it right. He has the perfect ethics actually ,he reminds me of another player that everyone loves JERRY RICE now if jerry was in his shoes .I bet you he would do the same thing. Also he reminds me of pat willis but on offensive. He is the one to take the niners to the superbowl in the next 3 years. It will not be alex or carr.I hope that singletary loves tebow and they go and get him ,it would break my heart to see this happen with another team when it could of been us. Dont let that happen..

As a 49er fan I always like winners,” “Tim Tebow doesn’t have the classic throwing motion, he doesn’t have the accuracy, maybe, right now that some people are looking for, but I think when he gets into a pro system that really stresses throwing the ball accurately, the big thing is he makes the people around him better. And he’s won. … I think he’s going to be a great player in the NFL.”But I just think what you can do with him, the problems he creates for a defense, the combination of leadership and what he’s shown, if we have him, defenses have to prepare for a totally different offense. … He’s going to give teams the most headaches getting ready for him.”he is a winner in every way and he will take the niners to a superbowl in the next 3 years.Tebow cannot sit on a bench ,he wants to play so put him in on 3 downs ,we wont have a problem getting them anymore. He will keep working until he is the best qb and player on the field. I f anyone can be great as a qb it will be tebow,He reminds me of singletary when he was a player it is unreal!! take him pick 17 first round or trade back the 17 pick and grab him in the 22,23.

Tebow is not the answer at qb give alex a chance and draft defense. We also need a o line as well. we need corner backs have you seen how bad we get burnt deep. we need secondary not a qb.

  24. By Austin on Apr 15, 2010 | Reply

What is this shinanigans that is being spoken? You want the 49ers to WASTE a draft pick on a QB, when Alex Smith showed such great strides last year? PFFFT! Not to mention that he won’t come into the season confused like a thirteen year old going through puberty, because he’ll have the SAME offensive coordinator for the first time! What is this? An offensive scheme that he got used to and is able to use the following season? That alone is already grounds for mass improvement. With the Redskins picking up McNabb, chances are they might take an OLineman, which could end up taking Trent Williams out of our site. If that be the case, then I believe we should select Anthony Davis (Granted he still be there. Only god knows what Al Davis might end up doing) and afterwards pick up Joe Haden/a top safety prospect. To be honest though, I believe Haden would be a much greater fit. There you have it. Alex Smith has our starting QB, upgraded line, and improved secondary. We’ll be ready for 2010. 49ers WILL BE the champions of the NFC West!

Micheal- You’re are the only one on this form with any football knowledge. This is a make or break year for Alex Smith and he’s much better than Shaun Hill and has a huge upside. Remember, he has had a different oc every year, and we have had a terrible offensive line for every year he has started. If Joe Montana had been put in the same situation A.Smith got thrown into, he also would’ve failed misserably. I’m not sold on A. Smith yet, but you have to give him a fair chance, and this year will be his last. Oh yeah, I’ve been a 49er fan my whole life, and if we draft Tim Tebow, I’ll never watch another game.

  26. By Zamis on Apr 15, 2010 | Reply

Lol @ Maria. Tebow? Really? You remember what happened when we drafted the last Urban Meyer coached QB? Yeah. How bout we don’t have any more Alex Smith incidents. We do need a good QB though, but the niners aren’t gonna draft one until at least next year. My vote is move up and get Locker. I can handle one more year of mediocrity.

  27. By mike t on Apr 15, 2010 | Reply

the sf49ers need to build a oline around alex smith and he will be ok and maybe get another wide out…now he is not the franchise QB for the future we will need to get a qb at some point and time but i think we can get in the playoff with him…..

  28. By RICHARD on Apr 15, 2010 | Reply

We drafted a q.b. last year his name is Nate Davis. Yes everybody loves the 3rd string Q.B. I know I do. Alex Smith is going to have his best year as a pro and the 9ers with alittle luck and few injuries will likely win the west. As for the draft, who really knows. I would’nt be upset going corner with 13&17 or Ot & guard. Joe Haden and Brandon Graham. Trading down with one pick. I’ll be ticked if we grab a Q.B. with our 1st rnd picks.

  29. By scott on Apr 15, 2010 | Reply

eric, as a niner fan, I can only hope they do draft Tebow, so you wouldn’t watch another game…who needs a fan like you anyways. Stop talkin about the “O” line already, and start talkin about “release” time. You ever watch the Colts? How many times does manning hold on to the ball, and how many times per game does he get sacked? Alex has had ample opportunities to prove himself. Yeah different coordinators, different lines to be behind, but still…. too many years without much hope. I’m not saying Tebows the answer or the second coming, but look at his games stats for his final college game…whew impressive! I’m a fan!

  30. By hazmat on Apr 15, 2010 | Reply

I think the 9ers need C.J. Spiller and Joe Haden in the first round. Spiller is a good kickoff and punt return man, and provides another weapon out of the backfield as a runner and receiver. Haven’t heard too much about his blocking ability. Haden is a solid cover db, and allows the DC to use different combinations. Don’t think Tebow is the answer, and actually like Nate Davis better. He will eventually be a stud QB.

  31. By eric howell on Apr 15, 2010 | Reply

Scott- If Peyton Manning were put in the same situation that Alex Smith was put in four years ago, he would have failed- no matter how fast his release is. And I take back what I said about not watching another game if we draft Tim Tebow. If we get him in the seventh round as a reserve tight end, I’ll still be a fan.

  32. By Nineroverseas on Apr 15, 2010 | Reply

Alex Smith has all the physical abilities of being a great quarterback, he just needed a little guidance. it was the norm that most quarterbacks sat behind a veteran for a few seasons before they started. It wasnt until the last few years that this starting straight from college thing has started. Personally i think its illogical to think that a quarterback is going to be able to lead a team his rookie season. That would explain his past failings… He needs to prove himself this year with the talent he has on this team it should be obtainable.

As far as your reference to the Colts and Manning.. uhh hes maybe the best QB of all time or at least top 5. This man can pick apart defenses before the play even starts. Hes a genius when it comes to reading defenses. So i think a comparison to Manning and any other QB is not a realistic one.

If Coach Sing says its a go im on board… has some faith in the coaching decisions.

People fail to realize what Coach Singletary is trying to build, a strong and confident very young team. If some would pay attention to what Singletary was trying to preach all last season was that he wants CONSISTANCY….Lets really be honest.. Alex Smith was NOT given a chance to succeed his first five years and we all know why thats the reason they brought in David Carr, a proven first round Bust,to not only compete but also provide guidance to Alex Smith … Next season will decide his fate as to whether he can be a NFL Starter because it is a contract year for him, so i’m pretty sure we are going to see a very confident QB under center, playing with the same offensive coordinator Jimmy Raye who can successfully build an offensive scheme around Alex Smith. As long as the Oline can protect him, which the whole right side failed to do last season. The 49ers have all the weapons to make the playoffs next year and with the correct picks in the 1st and 2nd round. We just might make it.

@Rene Arevalo Jr. – I’m surprised at your comment…You Claim to be a “FAN” for 27 years but You’ve either stopped believing or just plain gave up on the 49ers… As a “TRUE FAN” for 30 years.. I can see the potential this team has and with this defense along with Smith, Gore, Davis, Crabtree and Coach Singletary….. We will OWN the NFC West…

  38. By Smuman on Apr 16, 2010 | Reply

I have been a 49er fan for almost 30 years.
And boy do I miss the good old days!
I am hopeful Alex Smith will have a break out season this year.
That will only happen if the 49ers get lucky with a super improved O-line AND at least one more offensive weapon.
We all know the defense is pretty solid.
We all know the offensive scheme Jimmy Ray employs is average at best.
And Singletary is no help there either.
So it’s up to the athletic ability of each player on offense to win every play of every down in every game.
That is a tall order…and an unrealistic one.
    49ers go 9-7 this year.
And on the road, they get there butts kicked in the first round of the play-offs.

@rene. Obviously, your a rookie about all this. Thinking that Hill is better than Mr. Smith. You need to watch more football. Yes it is tempting to go after a proven qb like Ben but this is Smith’s last year and every year he has played his got better except for the years he was injured. If he does take us to the playoffs then we do need to grab a qb and just build around Smith.

  42. By christian on Apr 16, 2010 | Reply

i think we (the 49ers) need to work on our secondary and o-line. The people we should look at is joe haden, or earl thomas. For our o-line we should look at bryan bulaga, or mike lupati. Alex smith is our quarterback and we need to show him that we have faith in him. Its also good that we signed carr so smith has some competion. I think the niners go 9-7 or 10-6>

um yeah our Offense line isnt good yet, and smith is a decent QB, lay off of him holly crap, i get tired of hearing how people been fans for 20 something years and they know everything!! the game has changed sorry to inform you, if u know football how come ur not the coach huh? thats what i though hahaha we need joe hayden and trent williams or another O line men!

  44. By Zach on Apr 16, 2010 | Reply

Wow, whoever thinks the 9ers are not going to do good this year shouldn’t call themselves a fan. I totally agree with you Michael. This is Smith’s last year to prove himself. He is a good quarterback but not great, yet. Not saying he will be great but its all about how bad he wants it. I think he does want to be good. And whoever said the o-line isn’t the answer is wrong. The o-line is the biggest reason why Smith can’t reach his potential. We have some pretty good offensive linemen but if they can’t stay healthy then we’re screwed. We do need to draft the best lineman available to fill in our need at the right tackle. I want everyone to remember that we have one of the best head coaches in the NFL and it’s only his second year. He has already turned our team around because of the way he can make players want to win. I know he’s going to have a big say in who we draft and he’s only getting the players that are going to play their hardest and want to be on a winning team.
Now with the draft I believe we should pick up Bryan Bulaga or Trent Williams at 13 if they are still available. They probably aren’t going to be. If not then get Joe Haden because he is going to be a pro bowl cb in the league within a couple years. We need another good cb to help Dashon Goldson on the right side. Haden is that man. At number 17 we should either pick up Mike Iupati at guard only if we pick up Haden at 13. If they do pick up Bulaga or Williams at 13 they should get Haden at 17 if they can or a Defensive end like Brandon Graham or Everson Griffen. They are going to be sick. No matter what they should use our two first round picks and get a dynamic player on both sides of the field. With our 2nd round pick i really hope they draft Dexter McCluster at RB. We need someone like him to go in whenever Gore can’t. McCluster would be our 3rd down back, our Kick returner, and he could play as a slot reciever. He’s super fast and has a knack for being in the endzone. He would fill a couple needs for us. I can’t wait for him to be on our team.

Bulaga and Wiliams will be gone before 13. Get Haden and Iupata; move Clements to Safety and work Haden in the starting cb rotation asap. I really like Iupata, he’s smart, quick and has a mean streak. Perfect fit for the O-line.

wow…i’d say the best move so far for us this off season was getting ted ginn jr. from the dolphins for a 5th round pick. that will fill in the kick return position that we need. He will also be a good slot reciever. If you think about it, miami’s offence was not reciever friendly anyway, think about the wildcat and all. This should also help us open up our offence more. Then we have the draft approching. Im thinkin takle and running back c.j. spiller or takle and taylor mays because of the aging lewis at safety. Or corner back. Wow T.O. is still out there!!!! TO SUM IT ALL UP, IF WE GO OFFENCE THERE WILL BE NO EXCUSE FOR ALEX SMITH NOT TO PERFORM UP TO PAR. SO LETS GO NINERS!!!!!!!

lupata will be used as a tackle if selected. In addition to having the versatility to do so, he’s been working with Jackie Slater (arguably one of the very best tackles of all time) this off season to prepare for that position. At 6′ 5″ and 331lbs size isn’t a concern. At best, Mays could go at the end of the first round, probably the second. Niners aren’t hurting for a safety, especially moving Clements there to help out. Nate has lost a step (or two at the corner) and he’s overpaid. Cornerback is an area of concern this season.

  54. By Steve Z on Apr 16, 2010 | Reply

Get off the comparing Smith to Young and Montana, it’s not reincarnation. He can be a good QB and it has been proven, you can make it with a good QB. I would love to see the 49ers take one of the top tackles at 13 and then Iuputi at 17. That is an OL that would get us into the playoffs. In the later rounds we can get DB help. If one of the speed RB’s is available in the 4th take him. It would be a change of pace back not a Spiller type (which we do not need) The Niners are on the brink of the playoffs and picking nice picks (Spiller) is not what is needed to get us there. There are players that can fill his need in the later rounds (McCluster or Tate of Auburn). The defense is on the brink of being great and doesn’t really need that much of an update. For all of the talk of needing a rush LB people forget the Niners finished in the top 5 in sacks. Fill OL needs and let the rest of the chips fall.

Get the guy with the most wins ever in college, thank you. I’ve been following the Horns for the last 3 years just waiting for Colt to fall into our lap. Let him sit behind Alex this year, then ship Alex out when he still hasn’t shown us anything in 2010.

Marquis hit right at the spot. I like his picks especially picking jordan shipley in the third round. they should not let him get away. the guy catches everything thrown at him.

draft haden at 13, maybe williams or iutapi at 17. look for a guy like colt mccoy to slip into the second round at grab him at 49. we dont need to waste o first round pick on a qb, alex can get it done, if he has proper protection up front. our biggest need rigt now is on the right side of the line so a guy like williams or iutapi could help that. and our db’s are getting old and slow, joe haden could develop into a real shutdown corner.

  62. By Michael on Apr 17, 2010 | Reply

Joe Haden at 12 and Mike U. from Idaho at 17…

    If they are available….

Niners need some D help…They can pick up a fast RB later in the draft. Bulk up the O-LINE and get a shutdown corner on that D.

the niners should trade second round pick for jared gaither that would take care of the right tackle, plus it would automatically make him second best lineman on the team and he is good enough to challenge for left tackle spot, then draft joe haden and earl thomas with their 1st round picks because i saw a weak secondary last year that needs to be fixed. if either one of these guys lives up to their billing they would immediately make the niners secondary top 10 we see what polamalu does for the steelers weak secondary he makes them top 10 so i expect the same and if they are both as good the niners can win for a long time with them willis and the other parts thats run stuffing pass smothering D-fense and our run game and pass game would improve with gaither immedately no worrying if he will be a draft bust

Shipley is more like Ed McCaffrey than Welker. I agree that Tebow should not be considered but would welcome Tony Pike if he was available in the third round. They should have listened to me last year…..let Crabtree slide even further and get Brian Orakpo.

@13 we should either get haden or cj spiller if they’re still available. if they’re both available i hav 2 go with spiller bcuz with frank gore gettin injured every year we nned someone who coud fill his shoes and i think spiller can do that. @17 we need to get an offensive lineman no matter what. like many people have said our OL needs to get betr and as for all of you people who think we should get taylor mays you’re wrong, true, he could hit but look at his last year @usc he played soft so no getting taylor mays…and for all you guys that say alex smith isnt gud ur wrong bcuz lik someone sed this is his only year that he has had the same offensive coordinater for 2 years in a row and just to set the record straight he’s way better than shaun hill so stop hating and i agree with every pick by marquis except for gerheart he’s gud but if we get spiller we wont need to get him but if we get haden then get dexter mccluster bcuz he’s fast and strong as for gerhart he’s just strong

  66. By ty on Apr 19, 2010 | Reply

i think we should still get taylor mays an since we got ted ginn now….with the second first round pick take a DE or DT an go after OL in he second round

Well I am real happy we picked up tedd Ginn jr. I was getting worried watching everyone else in the league pick up talented players from other teams for basically nothing and us doing nothing. I lke the guard IUPATI and maybe the best available tackle in the first but I also have a great amount of respect for Toby gerhart Imagine what he could learn from our running backs coach Tom Rathman about being a great fullback/halfback/power back. To help support gore and coffee

I think that Alex Smith will improve once more this year, but he still isnt a franchise QB. I believe that we should pick up Joe Haden and Mike Iupati. No need for CJ Spiller with Frank Gore and Glen Coffee back there. And with Ted Ginn Jr. our kick returns should be top 10 this year. Now in the second round I really think that the 49ers should pick up either Tim Tebow or Colt McCoy. Both our good rushers, Mike Singletary loves the running offense style. Both could sit a year behind Alex Smith while he tries to improve for his final year. Tim Tebow has really showed a ton of improvement, and with his work ethic, he will continue to improve until he proves all critics wrong. And McCoy is a solid QB already, and with an extra year to improve, he will show everyone that they are wrong.

I believe Alex Smith is the way to go. He has the skills needed, and finally a stable coaching staff to lead him, and now just scratching the surface of his potential. We are in need of pass defense(db), and right tackle on offense. If the right fit is still there in the draft then take it. If not, then we take the best player available at that point. We have a great coach in Singletary and I DO NOT doubt his judgement whatsoever. Start believing in our leadership and trust his judgement. I believe he will have the final say in who we take. He will take us to better places in the near future.

I think we should give alex Smith at least 10-15 more years to prove himself…if it doesn’t pan out by then…lets move on!

  71. By cody on Apr 19, 2010 | Reply

Using our 1st round picks to build up the o-line will be the best way to go that should translate into a better running game which is what gore needs to break loose and also give alex a shot to be productive

We need an o-line!!! There are many promising quarterbacks in the draft right now, so grabbing one to turn franchise might be an option, but first build the line. Alex Smith can hold his own for now, but with options like Tebow (personally I believe is overrated) Bradford, the dude from ND and Colt McCoy (who personally I feel is underrated) there is alot of great talent coming out of NCAA quarterback wise this year. Dez Bryant=overrated lol. Wouldn’t it be great to see Colt McCoy throw to Michael Crabtree for a TD?! Sorry I have a big twelve bias but still it be awesome! We saw what crabtree could do here at TTU now we just need the quarterback to make the 9ers that playoff team we all know they will be this year.

PS Shout out to Singletary btw. Doing an amazing job keep it up!

they should trade one of there picks for a true start…the redskins need picks and they might give up haynsworth for a draft pick just something to consider on the D line..

Ok listen up people Alex Smith is no joe Montant and I am not sold on him yet but I do remember the great imporovement he made with Norv Turner who is not a head coach but a genius when it comes to QB’s. If Smith has an anchor on the right side and someone that can teach him how to be a QB like turner was doing he would be very good. I likes CJ spiller in the first round but now that we have Tedd Ginn I think were good in the return game. There is no question that we need a R tackle that is a must in the first round and our second first round pick either a pass rusher or if earl thomas is still on the board at safety he would be real nice. Now you can start to reach in the later rounds maybe try and grab Colt Mckoy or another running back.

Trade the 17th and 3rd/4th rnd pick for the 4th or 5th place overall pick and if R Okung is there – grab him – then w/ the 13th get the best available CB! as for the rest of our picks get the best available as per our positional need!! Remember KISS: Keep It Simple, Singletary!!!

  77. By 4d9res-ever-Faithful on Apr 20, 2010 | Reply

If we are going to get aTate in this draft in the later rounds – make it Ben Tate, Auburn, good receiver too (out of the backfield) – so get your Tates’ right!! Sleepers: Boo Robinson DT/DE, Wake Forest and Myron Lewis CB, Vanderbilt, can play FS in certain defensive situations!!! If we get a chance to acquire either, take ‘em Mike!!!

  78. By Jeff Watson on Apr 20, 2010 | Reply

I agree with trading the 17th and a 3rd/4th round pick to move up for Russell Okung…But I’d have to say witht he 13th take Mike Iupati instead of a corner

  79. By Jeff Watson on Apr 20, 2010 | Reply

I’d also agree to trade up for Anthony Davis LT Rutgers and use the other 1st round pick for Mike Iupati LG Idaho…Those two are maulers, and destroy anything in there way…Coach Sing would love ‘em!

  80. By Jeff Watson on Apr 20, 2010 | Reply

Tim Tebow is NOT overrated…I feel he is underrated if anything…Forget the throwing motion…He is a passionate, hard working player who WINS games…WINS people! I understand he is not the most prototypical QB, but he WINS…To be honest, he reminds me of my favorite QB ever…Steve Young…Athletic, passionate, hard working, and a winner…The main difference is religious beliefs…Tebow is a strong man of faith in Christianity…Same as our Coach! I can’t read minds, but I know Coach Sing feels positive towards Tebow…Coach Sings Motto: “I want winners!”…PERIOD!…Taking Tebow would be a tremendous pick for the locker room and not too long of a wait for on the field…We got Alex for at least a year…I’m sick of people ripping Tebow…He’s a WINNER!

  81. By scott on Apr 20, 2010 | Reply

amen Mr. Watson, couldn’t agree with you more. I’m hoping the go after Tebow. Hes a tough kid, and would make the team so much better. I also laugh at all the “O-line” crap I keep reading here. Since when does every sack lie solely on the play of the O-line, and not start resting on a QB(s) that can’t get rid of the ball fast enough. Playing under different coordinators would suck, and would affect continuity for sure, but when is this franchise gonna realize we are but a good QB away from reaching that next level.

  82. By MikeC. on Apr 20, 2010 | Reply

I like the idea of trading for Haynesworth since the money he is owed is very little compared to what he has already collected. I’d like to see them grab the best OT available and then in the second round grab the corner from Alabama. Alex Smith might not be the answer long term but I don’t see one out of Bradford,McCoy,Clausen or Tebow….wait for Jake Locker next year. If they want to gamble on a QB….Pike,Kafka or Snead would probably be just as good as the big four and would be much cheaper.

  83. By 9er lifer on Apr 21, 2010 | Reply

Sorry but alex smith is so inaccurate no mater how much time you give him he’s gonna make bad throws all to often i would rather have ben the rapist for sure. That probally wont happen and i wouldnt use either of the first rounders on one of those quarterbacks i like dan lefevor later in the draft

Please give up a first round pick plus a later pick to get Big Ben! He is a proven winner. He has baggage but we have the pieces to win now except for a rather lack luster QB. GET BEN!!!!!!

i wanna c gore dominate this year!!! and to do that? O-LINE!!!!!! thats what this team needs you cant win in the playoffs if u cant run the damn ball

Believe me if u get Haden at 13 and earl thomas @ 17 we will stop AZ retardenals wr FItzgerald and WIN
