I think to not look at such a good talent would be foolhardy.First i think becht would be a better complement to davis then walker and a more seasoned and better blocker to help jump start a disappointing running game last year.I think becht would not only be a good pick up but a exceptional move in the right direction.Tell me who fears walker at TE,i know people would have to at least give a pause to Becht ,opening up more time for davis to exploite them .9ers fan in indy GO 9ERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He’s a good player and no discredit to Becht, but this is by no means a position of need. Vernon Davis was the best TE in the NFL last year and is a perfect fit in our system. Singletary said himself that Vernon Davis is the best blocking TE he’s ever seen. Delanie Would start at TE on 12 NFL teams if present there. If we sign him, more power to him. He may be a better blocker than Delanie Walker, but in my opinion TE and Inside LB are the only positions on the team that absolutely do not need to be addressed this year.
