49ers.com at the Pro Bowl

Posted by Scott Kegley on January 25, 2010 – 4:57 PM

Starting Tuesday, 49ers.com will bring you exclusive coverage of the 2010 Pro Bowl in South Florida.  The 49ers will send four players to the NFL’s all-star game, the most since the team sent six players in 2002.  Vernon Davis will be filming a video diary as will Amy, our Pro Bowl Gold Rush cheerleader.

Throughout the week, I’ll be following all of our players around as they go through practices and attend various events in the area.  I’ll be posting daily updates with exclusive NinerCam videos and photos so stay tuned to this blog and visit our new Pro Bowl Central page to view all of our Pro Bowl content.

Thanks Scott. If possible, try to get some reports on the All-Star players true feelings and impressions on the change in Pro Bowl tradition… meaning it’s no longer in Hawaii and game is before the Super Bowl.

I awarded golden angels to my favorite picks for MVP in O & D–#21 & #52. (I didn’t have a third one for MVP-ST, which probably would have gone to #4.) There were many 49ers who deserved to go to the Pro Bowl, but I guess every fan thinks that is true of his/her favorite team.

I’m sure that manning and Brees are happier playing in the SUPER BOWL!

What about the Pro Bowl being played at the beginning of the Pre-Season? Could be one hell of a way to start each season? And maybe that is the London game?

Dashon got robbed crucially and Aubrayo Franklin too. Goldson had nearly 100 tackles, 4 INTs, and 4 FF. That’s legit starting, if not reserve numbers. No credit taken away from Sharper. 49ers have so much potential for a great pass defense. Goldson, Lewis, CLEMENTS, Spencer, T-Brown, and lets not forget some of the most fastest, smart, and good tackling LB’s. We need to put Brooks as a LE opposite of Smith.

Apparently Patrick Willis is not playing in the Pro-Bowl due to injury.

    http://espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4780284

If you look at that site go to the NFC and see Patrick Willis’ name. Aside from Patrick Willis, most of you guys are saying Dashon got robbed, but what about Shawntae Spencer. I think he had his best year this year. This year especially was a big jump because of Nate Clement’s injury he had to step up his game. He went from a third string CB last year to a first stringer this year. That’s basically saying you went from covering Roy Williams to Andre Johnson in just a year (and in case you forgot he was actually the 3rd string CB last year; 1st was Clements followed by Walt Harris).
