Seattle Conference Calls
Posted by Taylor Price on December 3, 2009 – 5:34 PMSeattle Seahawks head coach Jim Mora and running back Justin Forsett spoke with the Bay Area media earlier this week via conference calls. Both have ties to the Bay Area, Mora served as 49ers defensive coordinator from ’99-’03 and Forsett recently played his college ball at Cal.
Both spoke highly of the 49ers. Forsett complimented the pursuit of the 49ers defense, while Mora highlighted the playmakers in the 49ers offense.

ALEX SIZZLE!!!!!! LETS GET IT!!! DEAL WITH THAT NOISE, THEY CAN BE AS LOUD AS THEY WANNA BE, THEY’RE STILL NOT THE ONES ON THE FIELD PLAYING. FORSETT KNOWS WHAT HES GOT COMMIN, LETS MAKE EACH POSSESSION COUNT. NINERS AS A UNIT EQUAL A FACTOR, BETTER YET A FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH. LETS SHOW SEATTLE WHY ITS OUR TIME TO SHINE. WERE READY FOR A SHOW, KEEP COMPOSURE IN THAT POCKET AND KEEP YOUR HEAD ON A SWIVEL, GORE IS ALMOST ALWAYS OPEN READY FOR THAT DUMP OFF WHEN OUR RECIEVERS ARE COVERED, LETS GO. NINERS 4 LIFE!!!!!

Tough opponent this week. Every time you face a divisional rival, threats are imposed on all aspects of the field. I believe Gore will be the “x” factor for us this week. Seattle is probably thinking pass the whole way, and figuring out different ways to blitz and apply pressure on Alex Smith. Delayed halfback draws & toss plays could be key in moving the ball down the field. Of course, that could open up the pass. Utilize Davis, Crab & Morgan. Big-plays could present themselves for Crabtree with a dampened Seattle secondary. Vernon Davis will most likely record his 10th TD of the year this week as well. Defensively, its apparent that the Hawks will be likely to run more so than pass. Forsett & Jones bring forth 2 dimensions of running styles. Speed & strength go hand-in-hand, so our front 7 must be ready. Our 5th ranked Rush D has been impressive all year, and as long as we can plug the holes and prevent gaps from opening in the middle of the field, we will be fine. As far as the red-zone is concerned, well, i wouldnt be concerned. We have been impressive playing with limited space and our back against the ropes. Were almost forced to make key plays. Last, the explosion of Alex Smith….. will it happen against the Hawks? I think so. Alex will have a field day as long as recievers find the holes in the secondary. Were getting better every week, and it shows. UNDERSTAND THIS, A WIN SUNDAY & A LOSS FOR THE CARDINALS COULD ALLOW FOR A NFC WEST SHOWDOWN NEXT MONDAY NIGHT AT HOME! After that, if we win, we face an explosive Philly team, then the Lions n Rams. Folks, 10-6 seems tangible, along with the playoffs. “Playoffs, are you kidding me… playoffs?!?!” Yes, playoffs!

I hoping that every player realizes whats at stake here. There is no doubt in my mind the 49ers are capable of going to Seattle and come back with a win but in recent years this is where we fold and break down. Niners win this one and it will be a bigger game coming for next Monday Night against Arizona!
Go Niners! Don’t Tell me…Show me!

ALEX SIZZLE, REGARDLESS WHAT ANYONE SAYS, I BELIEVE U GOT THE TALENT TO GET US TO THE PLAYOFFS AS LONG AS U PLAY WITHIN URSELF AND DONT FORCE ANYTHING. READ THE DEFENSE AND MAKE THE RITE DECISIONS. LOOK OFF THE DEFENDERS AND UTILIZE ALL UR TARGETS. NOT JUST THE ONE WHO THE PLAY IS DESIGNED FOR. ONE THING I NOTICED WAS U SLAP THE BALL WITH UR LEFT HAND EVERY TIME U THROW THE BALL. IF I WERE A SEATTLE D.B. I WOULD JUMP THE PASS SOON AS I SEEN THIS. USE THIS TO UR ADVANTAGE WITTA PUMP FAKE. IT WILL WORK, SOMEONE WILL BITE. AS FOR THE D, KEEP DOING WHAT U DO. 9ERS GOT THE BEST ALL AROUND TEAM IN THE LEAGUE. WE JUST NEED EVERY ONE, FROM THE STARTERS TO THE 3RD STRINGERS TO BELIEVE THAT. AND COACHES NEED TO UTILIZE THE STRENGTHS OF EACH PLAYER FOR EVERY SITUATION. WE HAVE 53 PLAYERS, USE EM ALL, DONT WORRY ABOUT STATS, OR WHO TOUCHES THE BALL BECAUSE IN THE END THE ONLY STAT THAT MATTERS IS IN THE WIN OR LOSS COLOMN. WHAT EVER IT TAKES TO WIN IS WHAT WE NEED TO DO. LETS GET THE W, AND PUT THE PRESSURE ON ARIZONA TO WIN. ITS NOTHIN.

LIKE EVERY FOOTBALL SEASON, DECEMBER IS THE MONTH WHERE U FIND OUT WHO IS A CONTENDER OR PRETENDER. IT IS TIME FOR THE NINERS TO SHOW THE LEAGUE THEY ARE FOR REAL. I’M TIRED OF EVERYONE LOOKING AT US AS A WEAK TEAM. THIS IS WHERE THE NINERS NEED TO STEP UP AND WIN.
WE’VE BEEN WAITING PATIENTLY FOR THE PLAYOFFS AND NOW THAT THEY ARE WITHIN OUR GRASP, THEN WE’LL SEE IF THESE NINERS CAN GET THE JOB DONE.
COME ON, NINERS LETS GO!!!!! GIVE US FAITHFUL SOMETHING TO BE PROUD OF. IF THE NINERS BEAT SEATTLE, THEN I WILL DEFINITELY BE AT THAT MONDAY NIGHT GAME TO SCREAM MY LUNGS OUT FOR THEM TO BEAT THE CARDINALS BECAUSE ONCE WE BEAT THEM THEN ITS ALL ON US TO DO THE REST.
LETS GO!!!! NINERS ITS OUR TIME!!!!! GO GET’EMMMM!!!!!

Seattle isn’t figuring pass, they are going to focus on the Niner’s run game. Look at the previous time these two played.

For the past few weeks Alex Smith has showed Niners fans what he’s capable of in a spread formation. Seattle is rank 25th in pass defense and I think Alex is going to make Niner fans believe in him again. The Seahawks is already going to have thier hands full with trying to stop Frank Gore. This is going to open the passing game.

Niners are not out yet. Show the nation what a good team we are. Playoffs are in sight still.

What IS different about Seattle is who’s now on the field and it’s not Seneca. I definitely think we can pull this off but we can’t get ahead of ourselves and look to Monday night because this Seahawks team has changed since we beat them by 13 at home. When Hasselbeck went out in the first half, we were only up by 3, at home, against a depleated Seahawks team. They are now healthy and have pro bowler Trufant back as well as their starting center Spencer and Sean Locklear at tackle. Hawthorn is filling in for Tatupu who was also out that game and he now leads their team in tackles. I think we can pull it off but I feel it will even be more of a challenge their in Seattle than Monday’s game at home against the Cards!
