Pro Bowl balloting is open so make sure you go to nfl.com/probowl to send you favorite 49ers to South Florida.  For the first time since 1980, the Pro Bowl is being held somewhere other than Hawaii.

Several players are having great seasons such as Vernon Davis, Patrick Willis and Aubrayo Franklin, but don’t forget to vote for special teamers like Andy Lee, Michael Robinson and Scott McKillop.  You can vote as many times as you want so make sure to vote often!  Here’s a look at what some of the 49ers standouts have done so far:

TE Vernon Davis:
Davis is having a career-year, leading the NFL with a career-high 7 TD rec. He is also leading the 49ers with 32 rec., 375 rec. yds., and 7 TDs. Davis is on pace to set career-highs in both receptions as well as receiving yds.

LB Patrick Willis:
Willis leads the 49ers with 75 tackles, 6 TFLs, 2 INTs and ranks second on the team with 2.5 sacks. He is the only player in the NFL to register at least 2.5 sacks and 2 INTs. According to gamebook statistics, Willis ranks 4th in the NFL in tackles.

NT Aubrayo Franklin:
Franklin is the force in the middle of the 49ers run defense and leads the defensive line with 43 tackles and 4.5 TFLs. He has also set a career-high with 2.0 sacks. Franklin has helped limit opponents to an NFL leading 3.2 yds. per carry and the 2nd-fewest rushing yds. allowed (594).

P Andy Lee:
Lee leads the NFC and ranks 2nd in the NFL with a 41.6 net punting avg. He also ranks 3rd in the NFC and 4th in the NFL in gross punt avg. (48.0). He also ranks 2nd in the NFL with 23 punts over 50 yds.

RB Michael Robinson:
Robinson ranks 2nd on the team with 15 special teams tackles and has led the team in special teams tackles in three different games. He was a Pro Bowl alternate in 2008.

LB Scot McKillop:
McKillop has been a special teams standout in his rookie season. He leads the team with 19 special teams tackles and also registered a special teams fumble recovery for a touchdown vs. STL.

Michael Robinson deserves to be in the Pro Bowl. He was our leading tackler on special teams for two years. He is also the best blocking up-back in the league. Last season Rossum ran a kickoff back to a TD vs. Arizona thanks to two great blocks by MRob that sprung him. In the preseason, he threw the key block that sprung Delanie Walker on a kickoff return for a TD.

Now, with Rossum gone and Walker having fumbled, they moved the reliable Robinson to kickoff returner. He averages 23 yards per return over his career and has only fumbled once since he has been a 49er. That reliability and heads up play make him the ideal returner for this roster. The only problem is he doesn’t have Michael Robinson as the upback to block for him and Coffee couldn’t block a blind man on a street corner. Last week his missed blocks twice resulted in Robinson being tackled before he should have been.

One more thing, he’s an excellent receiver out of the backfield, could run the Taser if Raye ever comes out of his coma, and he’s also an outstanding pass protector. This guy is extremely underrated and should be in the Pro Bowl.

Aubrayo Franklin is a great DT, I just wish he was younger, great pocket control.

And I love Robinson, hes a superb blocker, great hands, and very reliable, the only knockon him is he’s not very fast. other than that he’s great.

And Andy Lee is the best punter period.

In all seriousness… Willis, Davis, Clements, Goldson, Robinson, Staley all should be voted in… I also voted for Smith, Norris, Crabtree(he will probably earn a spot too if he continues playing the way he is), Heitman, Franklin, Bass, Rachal, Sopoaga, Spikes, Haralson, Lawson, Spencer, Lewis, Lee, Nedney…. ONE GUY THAT IS MISSING IS JUSTIN SMITH!!! I think he deffinitely deserves to go to the pro bowl but his name is not on the ballot, anyone know why??

Patrick Willis and Andy Lee are obvious candidates for the pro bowl. They consistently perform at a high level. Tell you the truth, without Andy Lee I dont know how good the niners defensive numbers would be this year. With the offense not hitting on all cylinders, and being forced to punt, it is pretty much a guarantee Andy Lee will put the opposing teams offense on their own 20 yard line, and give our defense alot of field to work with.

Players that i feel have done an excellent job this year and have really stepped it up are Vernon Davis, and Aubrayo Franklin. Vernon is finally becoming the threat we thought he was when we drafted him. He has been great in the red zone, and his blocking is always stellar, and if you’ve noticed, he hasn’t dropped as many balls this year.
Aubrayo Franklin has been a force in the middle, and if disrupting plays was a stat, he would be 1st in the NFL. His ability to sniff out plays, and beat double teams is showing everybody his potential of being great. From last year to this year, he has made huge strides to being one of the NFL’s great nose tackles in the 3-4 defense.

    V. Davis is or definately should be a canidate for pro-bowl. Along with P. Willis, F. Gore, and once agian back to back years, A.Lee. Definately if there were a possibility the whole 9er defense. A reply to mountian jack…..no disrepect but Robinson is definately not the return guy we need. He lacks the explosiveness that makes a return guy any good. We don’t have that on our ST. Rayes play calling is not too bad we are moving the ball, however the QB switch halfway through the year agian is gonna or already has cost us some crucial games. Wether anyone wants to see it, we are not on the same page, we lack the POP, the FIRE, the ZING, from our offense. Just watching the games makes me feeel like we are going in slow motion, nothing in any of our games stands up and screams “LOOK AT ME” except for a few good running plays by Gore, who as an elite back should be touching the ball more than 13 times and a few nice passes from Smith, we lack what it takes to be the next great team. Unless something changes and NOW even if we make the playoffs our season will end quickly. Being a die hard niner fan, i hate to say these things but if i am seeing this i wonder why Singletary, who seems to be doing alright with his speeches to the press but the fact that we have lost FOUR in a row shows that he isn’t doing anything more different than any other coach we have have in the past. We lack leadership at the QB position, and the sooner our coaches see that the better. I do not want to see another QB controversy next year. We do have the makings of a GREAT team, but its like having a hot rod with no engine…in laymens terms……Having a great team without Great leaders means we can dream all we want but that’s not going to put us back on top agian.

Shawntae Spencer, he has recovered well and came back healthy and is doing great out there. it shows that he worked hard during rehab.

Vernon Davis definitely deserves to go to the Pro-Bowl. After 4 years in the league, he’s finally emerging as one of the top tight-end in the NFL. Under the leadership of Mike Singletary, Vernon Davis leads the team in reception and leads the NFL in touchdowns. “Hey Vernon, expect a Pro-Bowl vote from me”.

As far as Patrick Lewis, he is still a beast in the middle. This guy gets better every year and I think he’s best middle linebacker in the league. He leads the team in tackles and ranks 2nd in sacks. Patrick is no doubt the heart of the niner defense. I will also be voting for Patrick for the Pro-Bowl.

I would love to see Frank Gore in the Pro-Bowl. I just hope he stays healthy for the rest of the season. I think he’s an elite running back. He’s got the ability to take the rock all the way even when the defense loads up the box.

I’m a die hard niners fan!! We have alot of good players that deserve to go to the pro bowl. So i’m not going to vote for just certain players to go to the pro bowl. Because i believe all of our players deserve to be there!! I hate the fact that we have alot of good talent, a good coaching squad, and we can’t seem to get anything done. ANYTHING!!! All of our wins have been NFC WEST Division wins. ALL OF THEM!!!! Can we not win a single game outside of our division? For the past 4 weeks it’s been like this….another week, another loss!! Do you realize how disappointing that is to say that for the past 4 weeks!!!! Wut’s next coach singletary? How bad are we going to lose to the bears on thursday? I thought you wanted winners!!! The city of San Francisco wants winners too!!! What happened to the defense? What’s going on fellas? Don’t tell me that niner fans are going to have to settle for the ARIZONA CARDINALS to be NFC WEST Division winners 2 YEARS IN A ROW!!!! LETS GET IT TOGETHER GUYS!!!! I AM FAITHFUL TO MY NINERS AND I’M JUST CONCERNED ABOUT MY TEAM!!!!

frank gore is the second best RB in the game (next to A.P.) and is unstoppible. the standings may not show that but its only because of his ijury. he is a probowl contender and is goin to be picked
